CACI International Mechanical Engineer - Sensor Ground Platforms in Fort Belvoir, Virginia

CACI is seeking a cleared Mechanical Engineer at Ft. Belvoir, VA You'll join our integrated team responsible for full acquisition life cycle support of state of the art target acquisition sensors for the Army. What You'll Get to Do:

  • Work as part of a small multi-functional product team and as a member of multiple Integrated Product Teams (IPT)

  • Conduct market research on state-of-art technologies and vendors

  • Conduct technical review and analysis of vendor deliverables (e.g. drawings, designs, reports)

  • Support formal technical reviews (e.g. PDR, CDR, TRR)

  • Provide oversight of vendor design, development, testing and production activities

  • Coordinate with multiple geographically-dispersed stakeholders to communicate status and maintain support for the program

  • Perform fundamental engineering duties in preliminary designs, performing tests, taking measurements and performing system analyses or simulations

  • Apply standard practices and techniques in specific engineering assignments and prepare data and documentation when applicable

  • Instruct, as required, engineering technicians and perform duties associated with Logistical, Mechanical, Production and/or Value Engineering

  • Support the preparation of studies, plans and analyses in support of internal and/or external customers and shall initiate and/or participate with customer contacts to refine customer needs in response to changes in dynamic environments

  • Provide end-to-end project management support of product life cycle

  • Perform reviews and documentation functions of ECPs under consideration by the Government for incorporation into hardware items and systems.

  • Assist in reviewing and/or preparing Notices of Revisions (NORs) for all ECPs

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Active Secret Clearance

  • 7+ years’ experience with design, analysis, testing and integration of DoD sensor systems

  • Experience developing performance specifications and interface control documents

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Experience with modeling/drafting programs (Pro-E, Solid Works, CAD, etc)

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Experience working as a client-site contractor for an Army Product Management Office

  • Experience with Army ACAT II programs

  • Experience with Forward Looking Infrared sensor technologies

  • Experience with integration of sensors onto Army Ground Platforms
