CACI International has an immediate opening for a Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Analyst located in Ft. Belvoir, VA.

What You’ll Get to Do:

Join CACI in Support of the U.S. Army Deputy Chief of Staff G-6 (DCS G-6) in leading the Army’s network modernization to deliver timely, trusted, and shared information for the Army and its mission partners.

More About the Role:

As a team member supporting AONS DCS G-6, you will provide technical services to include planning, program, budget, and analytical services to aid in resourcing critical Army SATCOM needs for command, control, communications, computers (C4) and IT. You will also provide recommendations for how the DCS G-6 can synchronize technology and business management to enable better execution, risk control, and efficiencies for Army SATCOM capabilities.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications :

The Successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Hold an active TS/SCI

  • Providing architecture and system integration planning services across the entire Satellite Communications (SATCOM) frequency spectrum

  • Supporting DCS G-6 efforts related to policies, technologies, operations, architecture, and planning of SHF, EHF and UHF MILSATCOM and commercial SATCOM programs, aerial tier communication programs, and Presidential Special Communications Links

  • Providing services to support SATCOM and airborne requirements integration and attend meetings with other Services, Joint Staff and it subordinates, Agencies and Office of Secretary of Defense (OSD), National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), and US Space Force

  • Maintaining full understanding of Army tactical communications, operations, and training

  • General understanding of current and future Army protected satellite communications

  • General understanding of signal processing concepts and technologies

  • Providing analysis, evaluation, and recommendations of SATCOM architecture or initiatives

  • Coordinating staff work in support of the National Reconnaissance Office, as required.

  • Supporting Wideband, Narrowband, and Protected SATCOM Working Groups (WGs) and related forums including analysis, evaluation, and recommendations of SATCOM initiatives

  • Understanding PNT principles, including geolocation principles, waveforms and modulation design, signal propagation, and signal detection

  • Providing technical expertise on Joint aerial communications tier efforts as presented at the Joint Aerial Layer Network (JALN) Council, Joint requirements boards or other forums

  • Providing technical expertise to support the development of persistent, high altitude aerial capabilities through various Service enterprises lower cost alternatives to current systems

  • Providing technical, analytical, programmatic, operational, policy, and planning support for tactical and Enterprise Satellite Communications initiatives

  • Assisting in the development of the MDEPs and monitor associated tactical and operational MDEP changes to ensure synchroneity between tactical and Enterprise SATCOM systems

  • Assisting in the development of system-level assessments for PNT capabilities

  • Interfacing directly with senior government civilian and General Officer (GO) stakeholders

  • Possessing and maintaining analytical and technical skills necessary to review technical products, conduct mission analysis, and propose solutions, via deliverables, that contribute to operational concepts and into relevant solutions

  • Providing SME input to deliverables, meetings, and queries from leaders and stakeholders

  • Coordinating on and provide input on Army and DoD tasks and initiatives

  • Developing, maintaining, and using Army points of contact to support Staff Actions

  • Developing draft documentation needed for Army-wide initiatives, and assisting in revision of existing policies, technical guidance documentation, and architecture artifacts.

Required skills

· 3-5 years of experience as a GO level staff officer (e.g., COCOM, Service or Joint Staff)

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to coherently present technical topics to Senior level military and civilian leaders

· Ability to develop novel approaches for solving technical problems

· Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment

· Clear and structured thought processes and intelligible decision-making skills

Education and Years of Experience:

· BS/BA + minimum 7 years of related work experience or equivalent

Labor Category Verification Requirements:

· Telecommunications and IT policy formulation

· Perform operational effectiveness impacts assessments

· WMA, BMA, EIEMA, integration and PPBE synchronization

· SATCOM architecture and system integration planning across the SATCOM spectrum

· Provide analytical, portfolio management assessments of the functional mission area.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

· Army Headquarters or CIO/G-6 experience

· Understanding how the Army operates

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$94,400 - $198,300
