CACI is seeking a Test Engineer with Python Programming experience to help our client at Fort Belvoir, VA. The successful candidate will conduct field testing and data collections, experimentation, and demonstration using a wide variety of electro-optic sensors interconnected in various network topologies. The successful candidate will adjust to real time changing requirements and test equipment availability. When not traveling to test sites, the successful candidate will have an on-site/remote hybrid work environment.

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Conduct field testing and data collections, experimentation, and demonstration using a wide variety of electro-optic sensors interconnected in various network topologies.

  • Will travel to test sites regularly to collect data.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Active Secret clearance (Interim Secret Clearance is acceptable)

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field

  • Over three (3) years’ Python Programming experience (ideally on the job, but may consider dedicated college level projects/competitions)

  • Ability to travel for multiple data collections each year, up to 4 weeks per collection

  • Ability to do physical work outdoors and be capable of lifting objects up to 50lbs on occasion

  • Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot sensor hardware and software issues in the field

  • Experience providing IT network support, including monitoring and problem resolution for all the network devices

  • Experience directly interacting with the client and working without direct supervision

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Over three (3) years’ testing mechanical, electromechanical, and electrical/electronic systems.

  • Experience leading successful field data collections

  • Experience operating EO/IR sensor systems

  • Experience with GPS hardware and software to track numerous objects in the field in real time
