What You’ll Get to Do :
As a Threat Analyst: Regional, you will serve as key member of the Threat Working Group embedded within the Identification, Integration, and Innovations Center (I3C) and key member of the Threat Analyses, Assessment and Planning Group (Task 2) directly supporting Special Operations commands across US Army Special Operations Command (USASOC), the Theater Special Operations Commands and other Strategic Partners across the Special Operations Forces Emerging Threat, Operations and Planning Support (SOFETOPS) enterprise. You will directly support the analyses and assessments of regional threats while participating in large and complex projects. You will be responsible for providing regional-level threat analyses and assessments in support of readiness, modernization, and innovation initiatives. You will through all source analyses contribute to the development of new solutions, process and standards while communicating with parties external to your organization, which includes entire the SOFETOPS enterprise, the interagency and its community of interest (COI). You will be responsible for providing accurate, relevant, and timely regional-level analyses and assessments to personnel within the I3C, the Threat Analyses, Assessment and Planning Group and the Modernization Analyses, Assessment and Planning Functional Group (MAAP). Your analyses and assessments will coordinate and integrate all pertinent input and data from other functional groups and technical personnel.
More About this Role :
•Directs Collection Management support for regional specific threats. •Coordinates and provides specialized expertise in Collection Management to retrieve, produce, and exploit standard and non-standard multi-INT products to support the USASOC mission.
•Provides specialized expertise in Collection Management and Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) analysis systems and techniques to coordinate the effective retrieval, production, and exploitation of standard and non-standard multi-INT products to support the USASOC mission.
•Produces and contributes to the development of operations-intelligence fusion products that conform to organizational, community, intelligence oversight, and regulatory requirements assessing facts, threat intentions, cultural behavioral norms, implications of the environment, and friendly and adversarial involvement in that environment.
•Coordinates and interacts with interagency community of practice Collection Management partners and operational and tactical consumers of intelligence to solicit and incorporate relevant ISR data from existing national-level collections systems, products, and databases to provide an enhanced level of focused analytic support and makes recommendations on ISR optimization designed to enhance the capability to predict the accurate identification of adversarial intent, capabilities, vulnerabilities, and potential threat courses of action.
•Participates in all Threat Analyses and Assessments and MAAP planning functions as required.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications :
• Current Top Secret/Specialized Compartmented Information Security Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of relevant INTEL analyses and assessment experience, or associate degree and 10+ years of relevant experience, or 10+ years of INTEL analyses and assessments directly supporting or assigned to a Special Operations Forces command or Joint and Combined Special Operations Task Force.
•Minimum of three years’ experience in operations coordination roles of responsibility within an O-5 or above tactical, operational, or strategic level command or while supporting a DoD contract of similar size and scope.
• Working knowledge of tools, methods, and concepts of portals and other real or near real time knowledge management systems.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong attention to detail.
These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have :
• Experience directly supporting USASOC or Joint SOF organizations.
• All-Source Intelligence Analyst who has used classified and unclassified tools and expert analysis to provide country, regional, and global threat assessments while deployed to support forward-based assessments; delivered multi-layered research products; and facilitated strategic, operational, and tactical responsiveness for SOF.
• Must be able to work independently with limited government oversight and function effectively as part of a team in a joint working environment.
