CACI International Software Systems Engineer/Project Lead in Fort Detrick, Maryland

Job Description


Include (but are not limited to):

  • Serve as project lead and government customer interface for a dedicated team developing a medical record software application on an accelerated schedule

  • Participate on a technology development team to assess new products/solutions that will enhance program of record capabilities / systems

  • Collaborate with the technology development team to design, develop and test new products/solutions that will enhance program of record capabilities / systems

  • Collaborate with the technology development team on the level of effort required for solutions, to include planning, test readiness levels, and project scheduling

  • Provide expertise in assessing and /or developing new technologies that are in line with current capability gaps

  • Provide expertise on technology, standards, and medical IT industry trends

  • Develop documentation for new technology insertion

  • Provide support to management in areas of technical expertise and information gathering


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or Engineering, 8570.01

  • Compliance: Security+, Windows 10 CE, Secret Security Clearance

Relevant Experience:

  • 10 plus years of General IT / Software development experience, 5 years in a lead role

  • Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

  • Agile Software Development Methodology

  • Desktop application development

  • Windows 10

  • C# (Visual Studio .NET / Team Foundation Server (TFS)

  • Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF)

  • JSON

  • XML

  • SQL / SQLLite

  • Web Services

  • SignalR

  • Entity Framework

  • AES Encryption

Technical Skills:

  • Programming Languages: C#, JSON, ASP.NET

  • Applications, Databases, and Tools: Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server (TFS), Android SDK, SQLite, CCL, FHIRS

  • Interfaces: XML, XAML, HTML, SGML, HL7

  • Other: DHA electronic health record, EHR terminology, EHR standards, DoD encryption standards, Cyber Security requirements, Eclipse, Git, SVN, CVS, Android SDK, Entity Framework, Illustrator, Photoshop, Oracle
