Perspective Candidate will;

  • Conduct analysis and reporting on Foreign Instrumentation Signals Intelligence (FISINT) telemetry data, specifically unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) uplink traffic.

  • Ability to measure and discern the level of threat that the collection platform poses and forward that critical information to higher commands in a timely manner.

  • Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS (to possible conflict areas) on short notice in order to disseminate relevant threat information.

  • Research unclassified and classified databases for use in written products.

  • Research support for analysts who produce Intelligence Community reports and briefings as well as direct support to current operations.

  • Research, authors, and coordinate threat assessments to support the Commander and/or leaders in the U.S. civilian intelligence community.

  • Present, discuss, and defend assessments to intelligence community and technical community.

  • Perform all functional duties independently.

  • Performs search within repositories.

  • Identifies signals of interest.

  • Develops selection and filtration criteria on target based on protocols, signal parameters.

  • Coordinates with NSA Collection and Signal Development Organizations.

  • Submits requirements through BROADSKY and ASTORIA Resource Coordinators.

  • Understands systems and processes for geolocation of ground, air, and space domain signals.

  • Performs target systems analysis to identify potential signals associated with adversary weapons systems, platforms, and signals.

  • Accurately documents signal parameters for reporting within compliant NSA dissemination vehicles.

  • Understands signal theory (power, frequency, modulation, phase, polarity, propagation), modulation techniques (AM, FM, BPSK, FSK, QPSK, PSK, QAM, PCM), multiple access strategies (FDMA, TDMA, CDMA, MxDMA), encoding/decoding transmission (physical layer), familiar with signal technologies and standards (DVB-S2, iDirect, HughesNET, etc.), satellites and orbitology (GEO, HEO, LEO), linear recursive sequences, convolutional coding, protocol stacks.

  • Understanding of OSI model, standard protocols (TCP, UDP), IP based networks (IPv6, IPv4), IP subnetting, CIDRs.

  • Performs analysis of collected signals at the bit level (protocol level for senior analyst).

  • Capable of translating requirements into technical tasks.

  • Capable of translating technical information into understandable concepts.

  • Creates working aids, Confluence pages, Tradecraft HUB articles, technical reports.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI with Poly.

  • BA/BS or Associates degree plus 3 yrs. experience or 6 yrs. of experience.

  • Must be 451 certified for SIGDEV analyst - Signals Analysis: Intermediate Signals Communications Analysis Course

  • Must have experience in Signal Development Center, SDC, Integrated Discovery Center, IDC-E, IDC-W, SIGINT Collection Manager.

  • Knowledge of and ability to perform research and development on UAV uplink telemetry signals being utilized by our national adversaries.

  • Must demonstrate ability to provide Indications and Warning and trend analysis data on target devices and TTPs.

  • Assist with development and maintenance of analytical policies and procedures.

  • Knowledge of current events in targeting, customs, historical, assessment, and pattern analysis processes.

  • Ability to generate/provided specialized analytical products.

  • Ability to search/screen all media sources and provide assessments of intelligence impacts.

  • Proficient in utilizing standard MS Office computer applications and intelligence related automation to support analytical efforts and product development.

  • Proficient in utilizing specialized intelligence tools to create final products.

  • Possess strong research, analytical, and writing skills as well as briefing skills to include the ability to clearly articulate information to different audiences.

  • Capable of effectively operating as a member of an analytical team from a remote location in support of CJOA requirements.

  • Experience providing intelligence support regarding issues within the CENTCOM AOR or other specific COCOMs.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • NSA Internship Program Graduates (MECCAP, MINSAP, JOCCP, WOCCP, MCCEP PHASE 2, Intelligence Analysis Development Program - IADP).

  • Relevant NSA work roles and service MOSs (35S, 352S).

  • Experience in conducting FISINT analysis.

  • 452: Advanced Communications Signals Analysis Course

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$59,100 - $124,100
