Cyberspace Operations Center Lead

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Maintain awareness of USCYBERCOM directives, orders, alerts, and messages, and respond to related cyberspace operations community questions.

  • Possess and apply technical knowledge and understanding of the lifecycle of network threats, attack vectors, methods of exploitation, computer network theory, and network vulnerability exploitation.

  • Coordinate with all applicable USCYBERCOM staff elements, JFHQs, subordinate headquarters, Service Cyber components, CCMD, components, and agencies with cyber-related missions, Intelligence Agencies, Law Enforcement, and U.S. Government organizations with respect to end point security findings.

  • Apply a combination of expert engineering knowledge of enterprise IT and security solutions to design, develop, and/or implement solutions to ensure they are consistent with enterprise architecture security policies.

More About the Role:

  • Provides day-to-day direction of contractor personnel assigned in the JOC. Providing a general technical understanding of the lifecycle of the network threats, attack vectors, and network vulnerability.

  • Identify gaps and overlaps across existing DODIN operations and cyber defense technical capabilities.

  • Review and provide comments on technical materials consisting of, but not limited to, technical documentation and reports, cyber policy, and procedures, and planning materials.

  • An emergency essential position

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • 3 years supporting a 24/7x365 operations center watch floor

  • 6 years managing teams in a 24/7x365 operations center watch floor

  • 2 years as a Cyberspace Operations Engineer or related functional area

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or related discipline

  • DOD 8140/DOD 8570 IAM Level I Certification or higher

  • Experience with Common Operating Picture, Situational Awareness Analytical Capabilities, or similar.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, excellent communications skills, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • DoD 8570/8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level III Certification.

  • Minimum of three years of experience with Common Operating Picture, Situational Awareness Analytical Capabilities.

  • Experience with incident handling response, endpoint security capabilities, security monitoring capabilities, Secure Configuration Management (SCM), Assured Compliance Assessment Solution, Continuous Monitoring and Risk Scoring.

  • Joint/interagency experience
