CACI International Senior Software Engineer (up to 25% Profit Sharing Benefit) in Fort Meade, Maryland
CACI is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team located in Annapolis Junction, MD.
What You Will Get to Do in This Role:
You will provide technical direction for the design and development of application software for systems, perform software management, flow analysis, detailed design flow diagrams, structured charts, and Program Description Language for each software system. You will design and implement DSP algorithms in software and hardware, specifically Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs). Also, develop algorithms will be focused on high throughput exploitation of signals, with an emphasis on the low signal to noise ratio, higher-order, and/or adaptive modulations. Conduct the necessary modifications to existing software and/or firmware to adapt COTS and GOTS products to meet special Government needs.You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Provide technical direction to software personnel
Solve software related problems
Generate and review software designs for accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness in light of objectives, budget, and schedule
Perform modeling activities using Computer-Aided Software engineering (CASE) tools
Benchmark and improve software processes through the application of Software Acquisition Capability Maturity Model principles.
Software Lifecycle process (for example IEEE/EIA standard 12207)
Design and implement software models in conjunction with SME, in MATLAB or other similar design suites to process signals of interest
Implement software modules necessary for processing signals of interest
Provide analysis of module/model output from signals of interest to allow the creation of follow-on processes
Act as SME independently designs and implements software models, in MATLAB or other similar design suites to process signals of interest
Provide a concise explanation of developed models to allow other team members to understand/utilize models or algorithms for processing signals of interest
Act as a technology expert, directing the implementation of sub-modules necessary for processing signals of interest
Develop novel approaches for utilizing COTS and GOTS systems for creating processing solutions outside the intended use
Travel to other CACI Locations or Customer Sites as necessary
Understand and adhere to all CACI Ethical and Compliance policies
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Seven years of experience as a Software Engineer
Real-Time Signal Processing: Must have experience with the development of software-based real-time signal processing systems employing hardware acceleration including FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array) or GPU (Graphics Processing Units) technologies.
Must have extensive experience in development on Linux based systems and expertise in C, C++, Java, and Matlab software development.
Must have knowledge of one or more software frameworks used in the SIGINT community (GNU Radio, X-Midas, REDHAWK).
Must have active TS/SCI with a polygraph
Knowledge of Microsoft software applications and other software applications as required
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and 6-8 years of related experience or a combination of education and related experience.
Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
Preferred Qualifications: Masters Degree Preferred
Experience with Customer Systems Preferred
