We are looking for a highly motivated Systems Engineer who has a current TS/SCI to come join our team in Ft. Meade, Maryland to work with the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). As the Systems Engineer, you will join the team and be responsible for the physical and virtual environments on the domain. This includes installation and configuration of physical and virtual servers. Along with maintaining the virtual servers, the system engineer is responsible for maintaining the Horizon VMware environment, manage and organize Active Directory and Group Policy objects, identify incidents, diagnose and resolve problems. The system engineer will also be responsible for daily monitoring and routine maintenance.
What You Will Get to Do:
Configure, Install, Maintain Physical and Virtual Servers.
Configure, Install, Maintain Horizon VMware environment.
Create, manage, and organize Active Directory and Group Policy objects to enhance user experience and maintain the STIG compliance.
Assist ISSO/ISSM in remediating any vulnerabilities from network scans.
Proficient with MS Windows server maintenance
Proficient with Active Directory and DNS
Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs.
Create and maintain system documentation for domain technologies, including installation configuration, and appropriate troubleshooting steps.
Perform remediation based on approved security scans.
You Will Bring These Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or IT/Computer Science and/or 7+ years of experience in related field.
Advanced experience in all the following technologies: VMWare, ESXi, Active Directory, Group Policy, VDI, PCoIP
CompTIA Security+ certification or higher.
VMware certification
Oral and written communication skills
Minimum of three years of experience maintaining VMware ESXi server environment
Minimum of three years of experience maintaining VMware Horizon View client environment
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
ACAS experience
Network Storage experience (NetApp)
