What You’ll Get to Do:
Perform on-site systems administration to support the operation, maintenance, and installation software suites.
Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS).
Perform on site analysis of software and hardware problems found by user(s). Perform systems updates.
Provide on-site maintenance in the form of inspections and test of all network and user software prior to installation.
Upgrade and maintain installations, revision installations, replacements, and network assurance upgrades. Perform in-shop or on-site upgrades.
Perform cloning and imaging of media for issue to users.
Produce Customized media for users.
Perform on-call help desk support for users.
Create, maintain, and test, component software loads, as required.
More About the Role:
Responsible for providing specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.
Design and plan network systems.
Establishes networking environment by designing system configuration; system installation; defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards.
Provide specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
Maximizes network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with network architects on network optimization.
Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
Monitor network engineering performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
Evaluates and reports on new network technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Requires IT operations personnel with proficiency in Microsoft platforms, Red Hat Linux platforms, Amazon Web Services, and Cisco systems.
Bachelor’s degree, or higher, from a nationally accredited university in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering from an institution recognized by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) for an approved curriculum in these respective fields of study.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
