What You’ll Get to Do:CACI has an immediate need for a Software Test Engineer in Frederick, MD. The Software Test Engineer will create and implement automated and manual test methods, recording results. The Engineer will debug systems to identify errors and report findings to software developers. The Engineer will coordinate the process of analyzing software programs to ensure software created by developers for Electronic Medical Health Records is fit for purpose.

For the foreseeable future during the Pandemic, this position will be Remote. Once concerns subside, the expectation will be that candidates have the ability to come into the Frederick office at least 2-3 days a week.More About the Role:

  • Responsible for designing test scenarios, testing software for usability, documenting effectiveness and defects.

  • Works closely with developers to document and describe requirements and test plan data.

  • Work in a team environment and independently to run tests and analyze results.

  • Apply quality engineering principals throughout the agile product lifecycle.

  • Analysis of software and systems to mitigate risk

  • Review software requirements and prepare test scenarios

  • Collaborate with developers and testers to document and describe requirements

  • Design and develop automation scripts

  • Execute all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression)

  • Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies

  • Analyze test results, impacts, bugs, usability

  • Track errors and prepare reports on test results to the design team

  • Ability to test multiple software builds per day in agile environment

  • Collaborate with team members and cross-functional teams

  • Assist in troubleshooting issues reported through the help desk

  • Provide and support documentation

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • 5+ years as a Software Tester or equivalent role

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

  • Active Secret Security Clearance

  • Clinical systems and technology experience

  • Experience in data analysis

  • Understanding of safe and proper handling of PII/PHI

  • Up-to-date knowledge of clinical software applications and software test design.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Experience in Medical Health Records

  • Experience with JIRA or similar defect tracking system

  • Experience with SQL related databases

  • Extensive Windows 10 OS knowledge

  • Understanding of hardware and BIOS

  • Understanding of SSL certificates

  • Medical Systems Architecture

  • Clinical systems and technology

  • 8570.01 Compliance: Security+, Windows 10 CE

  • Ability to keep up in a high-tempo developmental test environment.
