What You’ll Get to Do:
CACI has an immediate for a Systems Architect in Frederick, MD. The Systems Architect will leverage their expert knowledge of technology standards and medical industry information technology trends.
This position is currently 100% remote, but once COVID restrictions are lifted will be semi-remote. We can only consider candidates within a drivable distance to Frederick, MD or willing to relocate to the area.
More About the Role:
Lead research and analysis efforts to explore innovative technologies to improve operational health care and recommend technology solutions that meet functional requirements.
Supervise software development and advanced engineering teams to direct system development lifecycle activities in an agile software development environment.
Provide technical leadership to determine architectural and functional requirements for electronic health record (EHR) software and hardware.
Leverage communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Interact with vendors and DoD contract organizations in support of operational medicine.
Manage IT staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation and disciplinary actions
Manage team resources, projects, demonstrations and provide briefs, executive summaries for technological events
Provide architectural expertise, direction, and assistance to management, systems engineers, and software development teams
Document existing system architecture and technology portfolio
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field and 5 years related work experience, or associates degree and 10 years related work experience, or 15 years related work experience
Secret Security Clearance or Ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance prior to start date
Management of Information Technology, project planning or equivalent management experience
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment system/software engineering
Knowledge of data privacy practices and laws governing safe and proper handling of PII/PHI
Operating Systems: Microsoft, Android, iOS
System Architecture: DoDAF v2.x
Business Applications: Microsoft Office Suite, Visio
Project Development Tools: Atlassian, JIRA, Confluence
Databases: SQL, SQLite, NoSQL, OnPrem and Cloud based
Interfaces: XML, XAML, HTML, SGML, HL7
Other: Risk Management Framework (RMF), DoD standards, Data at Rest (DAR), Data in Transit (DIT) encryption
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Experience in operational medicine, medical systems architecture, clinical systems and technology
Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) software standards and terminology
Awareness of Defense Health Agency (DHA) and DoD standards, policies and regulations

Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is $79,000-$161,900. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
