CACI is currently seeking a motivated Cloud Architect with cloud-based experience for the Combat Coder initiative at Langley AFB in Hampton, VA. This developer will lead a team of novice developers (“Combat Coders”) to support creating simple web applications for operational, mission-driven use-cases and drive rapid development and deployment in an AWS Cloud-based infrastructure. You will work closely with the development team to transform approved application requirements into front end user interfaces integrated with back-end data sources. What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Operate in all phases of AWS cloud-based application development by supporting the entire product lifecycle to include systems engineering and requirement analysis, technical design, system integration, implementation, and deployment.

  • Work closely with the Air Force customer and subject matter experts to understand functional requirements.

  • Use industry proven design patterns and open-source tools while staying educated on current technology trends.

  • Provide design and development expertise in support of both new application development tasks and maintenance.

  • Support formal testing in controlled environment before code is promoted to production by adhering to program configuration change control standards.

  • Be part of an agile team where communication skills and the ability to execute within the established development process are paramount to yours and the team's success.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • A TS/SCI Clearance.

  • Ten or more years’ experience with modern software development, e.g., Java (J2EE), C++, C#, JavaScript, Python, etc. as part of a development team utilizing strict configuration management practices e.g., Git, Bitbucket, Gitlab, GitHub.

  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).

  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle best practices (coding standards, code review, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations)

  • Familiarity with Agile methodology.

  • Experience with DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Experience with industry standard build, packaging, and deployment tools such as Jenkins, Gitlab, Maven, Yum, NPM, and RPM.

  • Experience with modern web application development to include JavaScript, Node.js, Angular or React.

  • Experience with Big Data technologies such as Elastic Search/ELK.

  • Linux and Windows experience.

  • Shell scripting experience in a major operating system, e.g. Windows and Linux.

  • Intermediate debugging and run time skills needed.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Experience in containerization for development and cloud deployment. e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, OpenStack.

  • Secure coding experience within a classified development and deployment space.

Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is $65,300-$134,000. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
