CACI International VMware Administrator in Hampton, Virginia
CACI is seeking a VMware Administrator to support an Air Force customer in Hampton, VA.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Support Distributed Ground System-Experimental (DGS-X) system operations for the Open Architecture Enterprise and promotes AF Distributed Common Ground System (AF DCGS, AN/GSQ-272 Sentinel) modernization.
Maintains and operates information technology computer systems.
Charged with installing, supporting and maintaining servers, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space.
Additional duties include planning for, and responding to, service outages and other problems.

Work and demonstrate an understanding of fundamental hardware concepts: disk, memory, CPU, NIC, HBA, firmware, RAID, performance concepts (I/O, paging, swapping, system calls), iSCSI, Fiber Channel, Ethernet, firmware
Utilize Server hardware and problem-solving skills such as familiarity with Server Chassis hardware including out of band mgmt(CMC/iDRAC), KVM consoles and system configuration.
Demonstrate an understanding of high availability concepts (databases, application servers, fault tolerant systems, cluster server/software, etc.)
Understand ticketing, change control, incident response, and testing processes for modifications to virtualization environments
Anticipate, mitigate, identify, respond to, and resolve issues with virtual environments
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (in IS Technology, Computer Science or related field) or 4-7 years equivalent experience.
DOD Directive 8570 IAT I or II certification (Security+ or equivalent).
Must possess an active Top Secret clearance, be SCI eligibility within 90 days of hire, and retain a TS/SCI clearance.
Experience with Virtualization Infrastructure technologies including VMware vSphere/ESXi, vCenter, vMotion, and DRS
Knowledge of Virtual Desktop Administration (VMware Horizon View) including upgrades and deployment
Enterprise Cloud Management and Administration (vRealize Automation) experience
Management of Enterprise Virtual Systems and Networks such as vRealize Operations Manager
Experience in monitoring system trends, executing root cause analysis, and Operational Support using LogInsight
Disaster recovery (Site Recovery Manager, SRM)
