CACI has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Systems Administrator to join a newly created team in support of the DoD in Hanover, MD!

What You’ll Get to Do:

As a Senior System Administrator, you will provide installation, configuration and maintenance support to an enterprise middleware solution.

You will join and work as part of a high-profile operations team that deploys and maintains a variety of GOTS, COTS and FOSS products to Linux-based systems across the enterprise.

In this role, you and the team will provide 2nd tier production and staging support for the software infrastructure.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in a technical discipline and 10 years Systems Administration experience. Additional experience may be substituted for degree.

  • Current TS/SCI Poly clearance

  • This position requires one of the following baseline certifications to qualify such as A+ CE, CCNA-Security, Network+ CE, SSCP, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CASP+ CE, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH

  • 5 years Linux/Unix systems administration experience.

  • Experience with installing, configuring, and supporting software on VMware hosted Linux systems

  • Experience installing COTS software applications on Linux platforms

  • Experience troubleshooting software deployed to Linux/Unix systems

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Ability to understand and troubleshoot existing bash and Perl scripts

  • Understanding of centralized authorization services

  • Understanding of and troubleshooting of Enterprise Firewall rules

  • Experience with clustering software (e.g., Red Hat Clustering Service (RHCS), Pacemaker)

  • Knowledge of local and SAN-based storage systems

  • Experience deploying systems via Ansible and/or Puppet

  • Experience providing focused expertise to mission application users

  • Experience reading, writing and implementing standard operating procedures and technical documentation.

  • Able to clearly communicate ideas and status updates to management

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to multi-task, work independently, with minimum supervision to meet deadlines, and supervise other System Administrators
