The National Security and Innovative Solutions sector / LGS Labs Operating Group at CACI is searching for an established Business Development Executive with a successful track record in identifying and qualifying Intelligence Community and DoD opportunities, focusing on Big 5 IC agencies and S&T offices for providing Wireless, Cyber Security, and Photonics Solutions. Primary focus will be on the identification, development, qualification, and capture of large, strategic opportunities, valued at over $100M each, while building and maintaining a qualified pipeline of >$75M in annual opportunities. You will work closely with the Director of Business Development to develop an overall Account Strategy and plan to focus on positioning and capturing new business contracts. You will be based at one of our state-of-the-art Northern Virginia locations (Herndon, Reston, Chantilly, etc.) and can expect to spend up to 25% of your time on business travel within the continental United States.

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Actively market the Company Brand, establish customer expectations, and shape opportunities by creating white papers, sponsoring in-house demonstrations, and responding to RFIs and similar activities. You will conceptualize the need, organize the correct company participants, assist in developing solutions, and lead the collaboration to completion.

  • Build and Qualify an Intelligence Community Market Business Pipeline. Your primary focus is to build/maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities that align with NSIS/LGS Labs strategic vision for growth within the IC marketspace.

  • Create, manage, and implement go-to-market plans (to articulate and generate consensus for strategic vision, action plan, competitive intelligence, investments, business case, etc.) within the LGS Labs markets in the targeted agencies.

  • Develop and present milestone briefings to senior management in support of investing in and pursuing strategic opportunities in these markets.

  • Engage customers in identifying and shaping opportunities. This includes active communication of filtered, actionable intelligence back to Sector, BD, and functional group staff.

  • Support Captures and Proposals to maintain continuity across the BD lifecycle, enhancing our ability to win as opportunities pass from qualification into capture and then proposal.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.

  • 10+ years performing Business Development (sales, marketing, capture, proposal) activities, especially in Enterprise Information Technology within the Intelligence Community.

  • Have a strong network of customer contacts and must be familiar with the customer's major programs and upcoming initiatives

  • The candidate should have a working knowledge of the Federal procurement process, and a demonstrated proficiency with Intelligence and Department of Defense strategy and acquisition plans.

  • Demonstrated ability to execute the business development function with minimum supervision.

  • Effective leader/participant in formal presentations to clients and potential teaming partners; proven track record of building winning teams as well as successfully negotiating with potential team members as to roles and participation.

  • Detailed insight into IC and DoD current and future programs is strongly desired.

  • Formal training in the Shipley capture process is strongly desired.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Understanding of the IC technologies and vendors that are often selected to deliver these capabilities.

  • Active TS/SCI and preferably with POLY
