More About the Role:
As the successful Data Acquisition Manager, you will acquire, control, and catalog large scale, complex datasets for our customer’s mission. The position requires a highly detail-oriented individual who understands the complexities of data movement and curation. The data manager will also be responsible for analyzing the customer’s current dataset catalog to identify areas of weakness which will then drive additional targeted dataset acquisition technologies.

What You’ll Get to Do:
Help determine both technical and business data acquisition goals in consultation with top management and makes detailed plans for the accomplishment of these goals.
Develop methodologies for data collection and evaluation relevant to each project.
Perform analysis to determine adequacy of data collection and evaluation to each project.
Responsible for the technical management of all data acquisition related tasks. Provide Quality Control Plan for all relevant requirements.
Document procedures for data management processes.
Organize, implement, and enforce correct data collection policies and procedures.
Train employees on proper data collection methods, tools and equipment.
Establish data collection quality standards and ensures they are met.
Ensure that data management system is operating correctly.
Establish and implement streamlined processes and procedures enabling the Contractor to rapidly respond to surge requirements for increased data requirements.
Develop long-term and strategic objectives to ensure that data requirements will be satisfied in future years of the contract
Ensure data management system is compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.
Evaluate data management system to improve operational procedures.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance (active / in-scope)
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
Three (3) or more years of related work experience
Previous data management experience
Knowledge of Cloud based big data frameworks
Experience in managing enterprise data assets in a large, complex organization
Familiarity with cloud and data management trends, and leading commercial vendors that relate to data acquisition, and management and the semantic web
