CACI is seeking an experienced ETL Engineer to help design, manage, and maintain data systems in an AWS environment. Data is primarily stored within Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, and S3 buckets.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Create and manage custom ETL Tool to extract, transform, and load data from MongoDB into PostgreSQL
Create automation scripts for repeatable database tasks
Assist with schema design, code review, SQL query tuning
Work with team to implement integrations with third party systems
Create Logstash pipelines to ingest production data from an existing application into Elasticsearch
Design data replication strategies to replicate data reliably between air gapped networks
Work with infrastructure team to deploy AWS RDS instances with schema necessary for ETL tasks
Work with infrastructure team to deploy and configure Elasticsearch clusters and indices
Provide demonstrations of new features and functionality to the customer
Provide documentation and assist program management with deliverables related to data systems
Proactively identify technical dependencies and roadblocks while working with cross-functional teams to resolve them
Communicate effectively with stakeholders across all aspects of projects
Understand the client’s business requirements and project objectives for new APIs
Assist the data team with creating user stories and features for existing and upcoming work
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required
3+ years experience using PostgreSQL or a similar RDBMS
5+ years experience using Python, Bash and/or other scripting languages
1+ years experience with Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana
Experience implementing APIs and integration technologies in a distributed environment using a combination of technologies such as REST, SOAP, XML, JSON, etc.
Extensive SQL experience
Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards
Experience migrating data from NoSQL to Relational DB
Experience writing and reading documents into and from MongoDB or another NoSQL database
Experience interacting with RESTful APIs and services
Proficiency with Git source code management system
Ability to break large tasks down into smaller, more manageable pieces
Experience working in Agile, SAFe, and Scrum environments
Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical field (i.e. Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science)
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Big data experience with tools such as Spark, Hadoop, and HBase
Database version control experience with tools such as Liquibase and/or Flyway
AWS S3, RDS, Kinesis experience
Database design experience
Experience working in both commercial and C2S AWS environments
Good understanding of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and familiarity with OpenSSL
In-depth knowledge of validation by government information assurance and cyber security standards and practices through formal verification methods
