What You’ll Get to Do:
CACI is seeking a Software Developer (Java) to join our talented team of professionals in Herndon, VA. The successful candidate will provide software development support for security systems used in data transfer, anti-virus scanning, and file conversion solutions. You will create new functionality for the security systems.
More About the Role:
The software development and product enhancements are for an existing system. The system detects and removes malware during the data transfer process and ensures that malicious code is not loaded onto any of the networks. The software is written in Java and runs on a Java platform.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications :
Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance (active / in-scope)
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience is required.
Experience: Minimum Ten (10) years of relative experience; to include demonstrated experience/expertise in the following areas:
Performing software engineering activities including Requirements Analysis, Software Design, Software Development, and Software Testing.
Debugging complex applications.
Developing software using Object Oriented Design methods.
Scripting in Bash
Packaged software solutions or customized applications
Customized applications for use in a Linux environment.
Developing software test artifacts such as test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Demonstrated experience/skills in the following areas are not mandatory, but considered highly desirable for the ideal candidate:
Creating functional and technical design specifications for software development
Integrated development environments such as IntelliJ or Eclipse IDE
Using ANT to build Java applications
Linux server-side development
Automation such as Kickstart or shell scripting to build and configure software
Version control system such as Git or SVN
Issue tracking systems such as JIRA or Mantis
