What You’ll Get to Do:
Software Developer to support the Army National Guard (ARNG) Engineering and Base Operations Support System (ENBOSS).
More About the Role:
Develops code necessary to complete the assigned project(s) in the specified time frame according to departmental standards and guidelines.
Identifies and reports problems in new and existing software. Recreates reported software problems to facilitate solutions. This includes validating the fix for the software problem.
Resolves customer complaints with software and responds to suggestions for software modifications or enhancements.
Assists in the preparation of internal software design documentation.
Supports completed software throughout the Software Development Life Cycle and in production.
Seeks to improve personal job-related knowledge and departmental process by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment, participating in educational opportunities, and reading professional publications.
Assists in the training of less experienced software development staff and may act as a team leader on less complex projects.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
BA/BS degree with 5+ years’ experience or AA degree with 7+ years’ experience.
Experience in all phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), such as Planning, Analysis, Design, Implementation, Testing and Maintenance of multi-tiers software application.
Strong experience of designing and developing software applications with Java, Java Beans, JNDI, JMS, JDBC, XML, EJB, Java Swing, ANT, Maven.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical and debugging skill.
Experience with Application Server, such as Oracle Weblogic server
Experience with RDBMS (prefer Oracle)
Experience with PL/SQL, stored procedure, and stored function
Experience with version control software, such as SVN, GIT, CVS
Experience with Junit testing framework.
Experience with Java architecture and API for XML binding and streaming
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Experience with Java web service layer development experience is a plus.
Experience with IDE IntellJ or Eclipse
