What You’ll Get to Do:

CACI’s Business and Information Technology Solutions (BITS) Sector is seeking a PKI Systems Engineer who will provide end-to-end systems life cycle support for all systems within the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) mission. As a PKI Systems Engineer, you will identify systems integrity issues and solutions for the full systems life cycle from concept to disposal.

Your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Performing technical planning, systems integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analysis for total systems

  • Ensuring designs are compatible with the architecture and allocates requirements to segments

  • Analyzing science, engineering, business, and all other data processing problems for application to electronic data processing systems

  • Analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and reviewing computer systems capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations

  • May analyze or recommend commercially available software

  • Ensuring the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints

  • Transitioning on-prem servers to the cloud, while working with other organizations, such as data center personnel, the network team, and cloud team

  • Performing functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications

  • Providing staff and users with diagnostic assistance solving computer related problems, such as malfunctions and program problems

  • Testing, maintaining, and monitoring computer programs and systems, including coordinating the installation of computer programs and systems

  • Consulting with management to ensure agreement on systems principles

  • Expanding or modifying systems to serve new purposes or improve workflow

  • Analyzing and possess the ability to discuss complex systems requirements

  • Providing subject matter expertise in an Agile, Sprint environment

  • Developing analytical and computational techniques and methodology for problem solutions

  • Creating and presenting briefing in support of architecture, engineering, and mission support for PKI across the enterprise

  • Creating and maintaining architecture and engineer documentation for PKI across the enterprise

  • Preparing required documentation, including program-level and user-level documentation

  • Applying business process improvement practices to re-engineer methodologies and principles, as well as business process modernization projects

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Must possess an extensive background in PKI Technology, including Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP), SHA-1, SHA-2, Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), systems engineering, application deployment, and Microsoft Windows and Linux OSs

  • Must possess significant experience in implementing and supporting engineer and architecture of IT efforts

  • Demonstrated ability to identify systems integrity issues and engineer and deploy solutions

  • Experience in creation and maintenance with scripting languages

  • Demonstrated experience migrating servers from on-prem to cloud

  • Must possess demonstrated experience in systems administration and engineering with Linux OSs

  • Demonstrated ability as a self-starter to deliver projects independently and working within groups

  • Significant experience preparing PowerPoint presentations, engineering diagrams in Visio, and technical documentation (e.g., requirements and design) for complex systems

  • Experience with OCSP, SHA-1 and SHA-2, Certificate Authorities, HSMs, and Microsoft Windows PKI support

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills

Education & Experience Required:

  • 12 Years of job-related experience and High School/GED diploma

  • 10 Years of job-related experience and Associates degree

  • 8 Years of job-related experience and Bachelor’s degree

  • 6 Years of job-related experience and Master’s degree

  • 4 Years of job-related experience and Doctorate

  • Core hours: 9:00AM – 3:00PM
