CACI International Project Manager in Herndon, Virginia

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to manage a small team and who will take on the management of key client projects regarding large deployments at an enterprise level.

The primary role of the Project Manager is to plan, execute, monitor, control and finalize technical engineering projects according to established procedures, timelines, and project plans. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members, third-party suppliers, and Government stakeholders in order to deliver projects according to plan.

The Project Manager must be able to perform the following tasks at an expert level:

• Identify stakeholders

• Gather and create requirements

• Establish project charters and relevant plans

• Develop and maintain project schedules and WBS in accordance with work scope

• Resource management and working with resources in a matrix environment

• Identification of risk and development of risk mitigations

• Manage projects through all control gates

• Scope management

• Quality management

• Cost management

• Customer relations management

• Project status reporting and escalations

• Perform strategic systems planning, business information planning, business and analysis

• Apply business process improvement practices to re-engineer methodologies and principles and business process modernization projects

• Mentor/coach project managers with less project management experience

• Other duties as assigned


• Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies


• PMP Certification

• ITIL Foundation Certification


Candidate must have one of the following:

• 12 Years of job related experience and High School/GED diploma

• 10 Years of job related experience and Associate degree

• 8 Years of job related experience and Bachelor’s degree

• 6 Years of job related experience and Master’s degree

• 4 Years of job related experience and Doctorate


• Strong familiarity with Microsoft Project/Project Server 2010

• Working knowledge of ITSM (IT Service Management)

• Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint

• Strong written and oral communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills


Day shift with core hours 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM
