CACI International Systems Administrator in Herndon, Virginia
What You’ll Get to Do:
You will assists in the operations and Maintenance (O&M) support of approximately 7000 servers across 4 unique networks. These servers utilize Microsoft Server 2003/2008/2012/2016.
You will perform restoration of user data via backups at the customer’s request or due to a catastrophic failure, create and verify backups of data, analyzes, troubleshoots and resolves issues with IT infrastructure. You will resolve Incidents created by monitoring tools and provide daily shift reports documenting events. You will function as Tier-3 technician when help desk and/or Tier-2 cannot resolve the issue has and it requires escalation, provide technical support for both hardware and software issues our users encounter, manage the configuration and operation of client-based computer operating systems, respond to and resolve help desk requests, upgrade systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and issue resolution, and audit application logs, and address issues that are discovered.
You will manage server’s infrastructure and any processes related to these systems, providing support to servers including: day-to-day maintenance, monitoring and problem resolution for all the related problems. You will provide second level problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems, escalating and communicating status to Sponsor’s management and internal customers of priority and high-visibility issues. You will supervise and coordinate workers engaged in trouble-shooting, provide additional instruction/on-the-job training when required, when resolving operational problems and completing other operations and maintenance related tasks.

General Knowledge of VM
AISC Training and ICSA System Administration Training
- Microsoft Windows Server Administration
12 Years of job related experience and High School/GED diploma
10 Years of job related experience and Associate degree
8 Years of job related experience and Bachelor’s degree
6 Years of job related experience and Master’s degree
4 Years of job related experience and Doctorate
