What You’ll Get to Do

Responsible for supporting the Program or Project Manager in the planning and implementation of complex projects. May be directly responsible for the planning and implementation of less complex projects or tasks.

More About the Role

  • Assist the Project Manager in all areas of project delivery.

  • Assist in the development, maintenance and utilization of project plans and schedules to manage and report against customer requirements. Depending on the complexity of the project, these plans will address items such as requirements analysis and tracking, risk management, configuration management, project staffing, etc.

  • Assist in planning/coordinating customer meetings. Support the preparation of appropriate presentations and compile/distribute meeting minutes as required

  • Implement projects as assigned, track all contract deliverables to ensure contract requirements are met. Provide project updates, status reports and schedules to internal/external customers as assigned.

  • Prepare and submit appropriate documentation for customer acceptance of contract deliverables.

  • Assist the Project Manager in interfacing with customers to address miscellaneous inquiries for information, respond to RFQ/RFPs, provide order status, and/or resolve issues with existing orders

  • Utilize standardized tools and pre-approved processes to support the generation of quotes/proposals

  • Create and track purchase orders, as required, to support the procurement and timely delivery of products and services required for each project.

  • Ensure that bills of materials (BOMs) and/or service orders are accurate, approved, placed and tracked to ensure timely delivery in support of project schedules.

  • Coordinate and track returns of materials and warranty items

  • Collaborate with the project team members (including internal staff, vendors and subcontractors) to ensure milestones are met on assigned projects

  • Responsible for creating project folders on the PMO Sharepoint for each project and uploading all project documentation to those PMO Sharepoint project folders.

  • Procard holder to purchase miscellaneous products and services, while adhering to corporate policies and procedures pertaining to Procard purchases

  • Travel to other Locations or Customer Sites as necessary

  • Perform other duties as required

  • If required, obtain/retain a government security clearance at the level required to perform the duties of the position

  • Consistent and reliable attendance required

You’ll Bring These Qualifications

  • 3-5 years’ experience supporting telecommunications network projects of similar scope and complexity.

  • Knowledge of telecommunications systems

  • Customer interface experience

  • Experience with supporting matrix teams working in multiple location simultaneously.

  • General user capabilities of Microsoft software applications required primarily Project, Excel, PowerPoint & Word

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have

  • A Bachelor’s degree or and 3-5 years of related experience or a combination of skills, education, and experience; Associate’s degree in a related discipline and 5-8 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education, skills and experience

  • PMI Certification preferred or an equivalent certification / work experience
