CACI International Procurement Technician (DAWIA Level I & SPS/PD2) in International, Afghanistan

Job Description

What You'll Get To Do:

You will support the Army Contracting Command as Procurement Technician in a DoD Contracting Office in Afghanistan.

More About This role:

The positions require the successful applicant to provide acquisition support services for any or all stages of the procurement cycle from acquisition planning through contract closeout. Generally, Contracting Officers will assign projects and will require all necessary support, by working with the Department of Defense (DoD) and other government customers, in a team environment, to review draft documents and assist customers to the extent necessary to produce unassailable acquisition strategies, contractible requirements, and sound independent government cost estimates (IGCE). The government requires assistance with pre-award processes to include: well-documented market research, development and posting of solicitation documents, receipt and analysis of proposals, development of negotiation positions, and documentation of negotiations conducted by the Contracting Officer and preparation of award documentation for Contracting Officer's execution. Post-award support is also necessary to include: monitoring of contract compliance and reporting to the Contracting Officer, preparation of post-award contract administration documents for Contracting Officer approval and preparation of contract closeout documentation for Contracting Officer approval. Requirements are typically processed utilizing all existing available procurement vehicles such as GSA schedule contracts, blanket purchase agreements (BPA), and indefinite definite delivery/ indefinite quantity (IDIQ), and requirement contracts. The work required involves exposure to highly sensitive information of the Department of Defense (DoD) and associated contractors, therefore, a stringent non disclosure agreement is required.

Applicants will not be responsible for performing the inherently governmental functions of a Contracting Officer.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

-DAWIA, APDP, or FAC-C level I certification in Contracting and at least two (2) years of government contracting experience. Must have experience using SPS Procurement Desktop-Defense (PD2).

The clearance level required is dependent on the type of clearance supported by our client.
