CACI International Maritime Interdiction Instructor, Part Time On Call, OCONUS in International, Bahrain
CACI is seeking multiple Marine Interdiction Instructors for part time, on-call TDY / OCONUS positions
What You'll Get To Do:
Provides instruction to foreign law enforcement students to conduct maritime patrols and interdictions at sea, on lakes, and rivers to prevent the illicit smuggling
Provides instruction to foreign law enforcement to conduct interdiction operations against national security threats to include, illegal drugs and undocumented alien smuggling
Provides instruction to foreign law enforcement to conduct joint investigations with other agencies related to border security in the maritime environment, employing multiple investigative techniques and capabilities
Typical Assignments Include
Serving as an instructor/vessel commander and crew member in law enforcement operations training utilizing foreign law enforcement marine assets
Train foreign law enforcement officers/agents to conduct maritime patrols, surveillance and pursuit activities related to the interdiction of smuggled contraband via land, air, and sea
Train foreign law enforcement officers/agents to conduct high speed vessel pursuits and intercepts of suspect vessels under adverse and sometimes hazardous conditions during the hours of darkness and in times of foul/inclement weather
Train foreign law enforcement officers/agents to search vessels and/or persons to gather evidence to support allegations of criminal or terrorist activity
Train foreign law enforcement officers/agents to conduct independent and joint investigations
Train foreign law enforcement officers/agents to work closely with other Federal, state and local law enforcement agencies to gather/share intelligence information regarding illegal maritime activity to include identifying and preventing potential acts of terrorism
May be required to travel frequently which may require extended foreign Temporary Duty (TDY) assignments
You'll Bring These Qualifications / Requirements Conditions of Employment
PREFERRED - Qualifying USCG Merchant Mariner Credentials
10-year specialized law enforcement experience
Successfully pass a background investigation
Possess a valid driver's license
Possess a valid U.S. Passport
Must pass structured oral interview
Master or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business or related scientific/technical discipline is preferred. However, 15 years of relevant experience would suffice in substitution of a college degree.
Must have or be able to obtain access to a Secret level clearance.
Completed a Federal or State law enforcement training curriculum and served at least 10 years as a Marine Interdiction Officer/Agent.
Experience enforcing laws, effecting arrests and conducting interviews and interrogations with witnesses and suspects in a maritime environment
Experience performing surveillance, writing reports detailing activities and observations
Experience collecting and securing evidence and providing expert testimony in court
Experience in serving as an instructor for law enforcement training
Must be available for overtime
Shift Work: This position requires regular/irregular and recurring shift work. You must be willing and available to work rotating shifts. You may also be rotated between assignments and duty locations
Demonstrated experience as a Marine Interdiction trainer for a nationally recognized maritime enforcement program at a Federal agency such as:
U.S Customs and Border Protection Marine Interdiction Agent Training
Overseas experience in a training environment.
Experience training foreign nationals.
Preferred - U.S. Coast Guard Issued Merchant Mariner Credentials (MMC): You must provide a legible and current copy of your Merchant Mariner Credentials.
Preferred - Qualifying MMCs: OUPV, Master or Deck's Mate showing the, expiration date and capacity pages of the license.
Applicants must be physically able to perform strenuous duties under rigorous environmental conditions. For example, duties require physical stamina in climbing, jumping, etc., withstanding exposure to extreme weather conditions for extended period; and standing and stooping for long periods of time. Irregular and protracted hours of work are also required.
