What You’ll Get to Do:
CACI has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, self-directed, Asset Management Technician . This position is in support of a Department of Defense (DoD) organization, US EUCOM located OCONUS in Stuttgart, Germany. This position is required to travel OCONUS.
The Asset Management Analyst (AMA) is responsible for the analysis, operation, and management of highly detailed and complex business systems and processes used to support USEUCOM and USAFRICOM. These systems are comprised of USG-owned and commercial software applications. United States Government (USG)-owned software may be used for, but is not limited to asset management systems, logistical systems support, cost, and resource analysis, etc. Commercial applications may include asset management systems, relational databases, workflow products, etc. Supported business systems can include, but not limited to USG-owned LOGFAS system, GCSS system, as well as the following commercial application systems: BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, WASP, MS Systems Center, and others. Responsibilities include: operating, enhancing, and maintaining business systems, databases, web services, etc. Maintain and update existing systems, workflows, and supported processes to ensure accuracy and integrity of the data to optimize efficiency and meet USG requirements. Develop process and workflow improvements across multiple business systems and facilitate the sharing of common data to maintain availability and integrity of the business systems, shared databases, and associated software applications. This position requires extensive experience with gathering detailed hardware and software inventory information to develop and maintain an effective asset management program. The Asset Management Analyst supports activities to manage IT assets in classified and unclassified domains, navigate procedural and policy boundaries to conduct on-site inventory of assets across the Enterprise, identify and remove obstacles to the completion of asset inventories, follow established procedures for the decommissioning of IT assets, and manage supplies. The Candidate must possess excellent interpersonal, business management and customer service skills and will participate or be responsible for:
Work directly with the Government customer to maintain a seamless transition from receiving of assets, to the delivery of assets, to the disposal of end of life items.
Maintain the accuracy of Configuration Items (CIs) in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
Develop and maintain the processes for managing and tracking the full IT asset, license, and maintenance life cycle, from procurement to retirement. Define, maintain, and update policies and procedures for effective management of the IT asset life cycle (e.g., acquisition, deployment, utilization, de-installation, reallocation, and disposal).
Track and maintain an accurate inventory of assets throughout their life cycle.
Plan for the population of the asset database. Manage the asset database. Ensure regular housekeeping of the asset database.
Work closely with the Government customer to ensure policy compliance and asset maintenance.
Identify opportunities to fully utilize unused or partially used IT hardware assets. Define metrics, collect data, and report on the effectiveness of IT asset management processes. Ensure that the CMDB and asset database are highly accurate.

The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner. The candidate will be required to work in dynamic fast paced environments that require team interaction and coordination of efforts. The candidate must be experienced in interfacing with both client managers and system users. The candidate shall obtain a forklift license, USAREUR TMP Driver’s license and be able to independently lift 50 lbs.
Develop the command asset management plan, processes, and procedures to manage configuration items listed in the CMDB. Manage and maintain the commands authoritative Asset Management Database. Manage warehouse and associated logistics operations, ensure operations follow the CITS III Supply Chain Risk Management procedures.
Additionally, the Asset Management Technician will provide remote support and/or travel to customer sites as required.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Currently hold an adjudicated Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and and maintain a TS/SCI.
BA/BS + 3 years recent specialized or AA/AS +7 years recent specialized or a major cert + 7 years recent specialized or 11 years of recent specialized experience
Ability to obtain a Forklift license
ITIL v4 - Foundation
CompTIA Security + (IAT Level II or greater)
Ability to lift 50lbs independently
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Experience with ServiceNow (SNOW)
Experience with Global Combat Support System-Army
Adaptable to changing circumstances and operational needs
Understanding of Department of Defense Military standards
Experience with DoD IT security requirements
Expert skill in Microsoft Excel
Experience managing to asset accuracy to Critical Success Factors (CSF)
