This position is in support of a Department of Defense (DoD) organization, US EUCOM located OCONUS in Stuttgart, Germany. This position requires OCONUS travel.
What You’ll Get to Do:
This is a unique EKMS Manager position which gives the candidate the opportunity to administer the Coalition Electronic Key Management System (CEKMS).
The contractor shall perform central receiving, temporary storage, and transfer services for DoD-provided COMSEC equipment, documents, keying and other materials; train Command and Control Interoperability Board (CCIB) personnel in the proper custodianship, safeguarding and operation of DoD-provided COMSEC equipment and materials, including keying materials; and conduct periodic inventories and inspections of DoD-provided COMSEC equipment, documents and materials, including keying materials.
More About the Role:
When duties are not being performed for COMSEC, will work as a network journeyman under the supervision of the Operations Managers at EUCOM.
EUCOM operates multiple network enclaves, several of which provide critical Command and Control capabilities globally. EUCOM is looking to rapidly expand their network footprint and capacity. The candidate will be expected to operate in a complex environment with multiple different organizations providing various aspects of service delivery to the customer. The candidate must be comfortable looking at problems from different angles to determine potential root causes, develop strategies to test your theories, and then effectively communicate that to other service providers.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Candidate must have an active Secret Clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance
Must have a CompTIA Security+ CE OR other IAW DoD 8570.1 Technical Level II certification (or higher) OR the ability to obtain a CompTIA Security+ CE certification within 6 Months of Start Date
7+ years direct work experience in COMSEC support
Must meet TESA requirements (one of the following):
High School Diploma and 11 years of TECHNICAL experience
Associate’s Degree and 7 years of TECHNICAL experience
Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years of TECHNICAL experience
Extensive experience with proper handling and safeguarding of COMSEC keying material (KEYMAT) and equipment.
Experience with the use of the NSA Central Office of Record (COR) website to receive COMSEC inventories, manage transaction files, and receive and publish COMSEC policies.
Superior customer relationship skills and ability to brief leadership
Ability to handle and escalate COMSEC concerns, including making recommendations both verbally and in writing, to U.S. as well as foreign nations’ senior leadership.
Background in Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) Systems and Networks.
Required experience with COMSEC Equipment and Systems to include Secure Communications Internet Protocol (SCIP) devices, Secure Analog and Data Service devices, SECTERA Wireline Terminal (SWT) and Secure Telephone Equipment (STE).
Strong background in Electronic Keying Management Systems (EKMS).
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Works well inside team environment, positive can do attitude
Ability to work autonomously in remote EUCOM sites supporting deployed technologies in production networks
Basic electrical skills and understanding to assess and identify data networking equipment power requirements
Ability to make CAT5 network patch cables with experience in cable management and cable runs
Travel is required
Willingness to work flexible hours
Required to sign for and hard receipt government equipment
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Experience with Network Management Tools
Familiarity with the DISA STIG and IAVM process
Experience working in classified environments
Understanding of Department of Defense Military standards
