What You’ll Get to Do:

The successful candidate will be responsible for Configuration Management (CM), Quality Assurance (QA)/Quality Control (QC), change control, configuration identification, status accounting, and configuration audits for a maintenance & sustainment program. Configuration Manager candidate will develop and modify CM plans, policies, and procedures and tailor them to the complexity and scope of each developmental or operational system. This position will assume a team role in analyzing, negotiating, and implementing contract and CM policy, standards, and requirements on all contract and delivery orders during all program phases.

More About the Role:

Preforms regular audits of the CM baseline

• Helps integrate the CM tracking / CM systems

• Ensures all changes to the operational environment can be traced through the documentation and approval process

• Interfaces with Project Manager and the site teams regarding Planning, Inspections, Audits, Standard Operating Procedures, Continual improvement, and Implementation

• Develops and implements CM processes and procedures for USAFE in accordance with CMII, ITILV3, and ISO standards

• Develops and implements Quality Assurance Plans and Procedures

• Conducts periodic physical audits on USAFE sites throughout the Europe per Quality Assurance Program Plan requirements

• Performs, witnesses, monitors, and verifies the inspections, and tests performed by USAFE personnel

• Manages QC documentation and participates in reviews and audits to ensure compliance with DOD and contract requirements

• Estimates requirements, monitors procedures, corrective actions, and verification procedures for new system builds

• Assures consistent quality of production by validating processes, and managing documentation

• Participates in the review of Engineering deliverables including Drawings, Design/Details, Specifications

• Updates and monitors USAFE IMMS Database

• Ensures compliance with associated ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems

• Works other USAFE projects as assigned

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

Secret Clearance

• 5+ years’ experience with CM required in programs and contracts of similar scope

• Experience in Quality Management or Systems Engineering in an IT environment

• Ability to manage and help improve CM processes, procedures, and User Manuals

• Strong verbal and written communication skills • Detail-oriented • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

• Extensive knowledge of MS Product Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint)

• ITIL v3/v4 Foundations

• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science Degree

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of Agile methodology

• CM Data Base (CMDB) experience

• Documenting/developing CM and QA processes & procedures

• Ability to prepare and conduct briefings to diverse audiences
