What You’ll Get to Do:

As a CACI-Wexford Strategic Mobility Specialist, you will be the subject matter expert for the employment of Joint Operations Planning Execution System (JOPES) to integrate Global Force Management (GFM) decisions and coordinates strategic transportation requirements (Inter and intra-theater air and sea lift) across commands in support of the Combatant Command’ strategic priorities. You will coordinate AFRICOM strategic transportation requirements with other geographic combatant commands, functional commands, and services components. You will conduct briefings to senior leaders on transportation movement plans, TPFDD, cargo shipments, availability of airframes and other transportation assets available to support discrete planning efforts, ensure that critical actions are accomplished efficiently, within prescribed timelines, and meet identified mission and planning requirements. You will remain current on applicable DoD guidance and/or policies regarding resources and procedures to ensure successful mission accomplishment.

  • This position supports the Global Force Management Branch of the AFRICOM Future Operations Division

  • You will be expected to brief key leaders from time to time

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Active TOP SECRET Clearance

  • A Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years’ experience or 5 years’ overall experience

  • Prior training and experience employing JOPES tools

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Prior experience working in Africa or at AFRICOM or at one of its Service Components

  • Functional Manager’s Course graduate

In line with the terms of this Contract, the AFRICOM Operations, Plans and Training Support (AOPTS) Program provides for:

  • Living Quarters Allowance (LQA) at State Department rates

  • An Education Benefit for dependent children K-12 at the DoDDS rates

  • Shipment and delivery of Household Goods (HHG) up to 18000 lbs.

  • Shipment and delivery of one privately owned vehicle

  • Overseas relocation travel for the employee and SOFA-approved family members for up to 60 days

  • Relocation lodging and per diem and the 75% rate

  • One rental car and fuel for up to 60 days

  • Transportation fares or mileage during relocation
