We are looking for experienced, innovative and motivated IT Specialists to support enablement CJTF HOA/AFRICOM’s mission objectives.
What You’ll Get to Do:
The Virtual Infrastructure Systems Engineer will be responsible for performing data center infrastructure network engineering and design on a geographically dispersed enterprise network. The VI Engineer will be directly responsible for providing engineering efforts in the lifecycle of projects to include documentation, design, build, integrate, transition, implementation, test, and training for transitioned to IT Operations Management. The VI Engineer will also analyze and provide recommendations for hardware and software life cycle and standardization for the enterprise and recommend best-practice solutions for datacenter and virtual infrastructure technologies.
The ideal candidate will have experience and a engineering background in design, implementation and migration of Data Center technologies to include Cisco NEXUS products, Cisco UCS, Cisco UCS Manager, Fabric Interconnects, NETAPP storage solutions/ SAN configurations, FCOE, VMWARE, ESXi, SNAP mirroring. Familiarity with private cloud virtualization and virtual networks in VMWare environments using hyperflex solutions to support Citrix VDI environments would be desirable.

The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present products, solutions and ideas in a business-like manner and be experienced in interfacing with customers, client managers and system users. The candidate will be required to work in dynamic fast paced environment that requires team interaction and coordination of efforts including remote site support and/or travel to customer servers and sites as required.
Additionally, the VI Engineer will provide remote support and/or travel to customer sites as required.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Currently hold an adjudicated Secret Clearance and be able to obtain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance
BA/BS + 3 years recent specialized or AA/AS +7 years recent specialized or a major cert + 7 years recent specialized or 11 years of recent specialized experience
Extensive knowledge of VI environments and the continued operation of a large scale VI deployment
VMWare Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization (VPC-DCV)
CompTIA Security + (IAT Level II or greater)
Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) Server 2016
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
ITIL v3 or v4 – Foundation
Experience with Citrix licensing
Cisco Data Center Certification (CCNA, CCNP)
Netapp Certification
Adaptable to changing circumstances and operational needs
Understanding of Department of Defense Military standards
Experience with DoD IT security requirements
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting
Experience in the evaluation and integration of new technologies into existing environments
Demonstrated background troubleshooting complex IT issues

$74,600-$156,700
