What You’ll Get to Do:
As a CACI Business and Organizational Leadership Coach (Job Site Title: Leadership Development Subject Matter Expert) at Ship Repair Facility and Japan Regional Maintenance Center (SRF-JRMC), you will coach, mentor, train, and counsel ship repair facility leaders and their teams. You will partner with stakeholders to apply principles of organizational leadership, develop people, transform culture, improve performance, and achieve results through individual, group, team, and/or other coaching-based modalities. You will work individually and as part of a team to achieve goals.
Additionally, you will get to help create new cross-functional leadership development programs. To do this you will need to be a seasoned professional contributor able to work independently with limited supervision. You will have the opportunity to lead and review the work of other teammates while solving complex and sometimes problems.
You will have the opportunity to facilitate team meetings, training events, and offsite team building. You will have a direct impact on the organizational effectiveness of our customer.
This position will support emerging work requirements in a part-time on-call capacity.
More About the Role:
Provide individual, group, and/or team coaching for mid-to-upper-level SRF-JRMC leaders in Yokosuka and Sasebo, Japan.
Partner with stakeholders to assess needs, establish goals, and create/implement coaching strategies.
Participate in team meetings related to organizational strategy, team development, and professional development.
Conduct extensive individual and organizational assessments that include comprehensive summary reports.
Work with others to establish, track, and report metrics related to stakeholder goals and objectives.
Influence others regarding policies, practices, and procedures.
Provide oral and written reports.
Shadow and observe leaders in meetings and daily work as needed.
SRF-JRMC work may be in an industrial environment outdoors or indoors, in multiple industrial trade shops, and/or in a field office or CACI office environment.
Physical Demands: Normal demands associated with an office environment, including ability to work on a computer for long periods. Work is also in an active industrial environment that may require walking long distances carrying backpack filled with work materials (and transporting materials, supplies as needed), climbing ladders, and accessing confined spaces. Ability to lift/carry up to 25 lbs.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must have the ability to obtain a DoD Interim Secret security
clearance and subsequent final DoD Secret security clearance.
Must be fluent in Japanese.
Bachelor's degree, additional training in organizational development and related field preferred.
An industry-recognized coaching certification (International Coaching Federation, International Association of Coaching, etc.). Professional Certified Coach (PCC) level preferred.
Demonstrate cross-cultural competence, high emotional intelligence, and strong interpersonal skills to work with foreign Nationals and culturally diverse populations.
Minimum 1 year of experience in leadership development, training, facilitation, organizational development, change management, learning organizations, or process and performance improvement.
Ability to perform successfully both independently and as a team member.
Ability to communicate with customers at all levels of the organization in a professional, effective manner.
Ability to organize work efficiently and manage time effectively.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Active DoD Secret security clearance.
Knowledge or experience working in a Naval or Shipyard environment.
Knowledge or experience working in a large industrial environment.
Certification and/or experience in some or all of the following: personality and/or skills assessments (such as DiSC, MBTI, Emotional Intelligence), strengths assessment tools (such as GENOS, and Clifton Strengths Finders), and/or facilitation experience (with Crucial Conversations, Crucial Accountability trainings).
