CACI is seeking a Systems Engineer for our growing team in Osan AB, Republic of Korea!
The Systems Engineer will support Operations, and Maintenance (O&M), limited research and development (R&D), and procurement of data/information processing capabilities on the SCION III contract. You will get to work with an interdisciplinary engineering team, supporting the dynamic United States Space Force Special Mission Enterprise, at the forefront of USSF & USAF interoperability support.
More About the Role:
You will provide engineering expertise across a varied set of hardware, software, and expeditionary equipment. Communicate highly technical information to all levels of the USSF’s Space Operations Command (SpOC) teams and subordinate units. You will have the opportunity to work with both co-located and remote engineering teams across the globe, along with providing on-site support to exercise events throughout the year.
Provide Engineering Operations and Maintenance support for multiple scientific, engineering, and technical systems to include large antenna systems, portable antenna systems, and applicable test equipment
Assist a team of engineers to perform system installations at geographically diverse locations
Perform system configuration to tailor to customers’ needs
Investigate and perform performance tuning, resource optimization, and system upgrades
Maintain and contribute documentation in the Configuration Management Knowledge Base
Write technical documents, briefings, and drawings for new deliveries
Responsibilities occasionally require working evenings or weekends
Support worldwide supply chain logistics nodes utilizing software tools and Systems Engineering best practices
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Current TS/SCI clearance is required. Polygraph may be required for Special Access Programs (SAP).
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited University & a minimum of 3 years of professional experience or 5+ years of relevant professional experience without a degree
A willingness to learn, teach and share information in a co-located and remote team environment
A subset of the below :
Understanding of Radio Frequency (RF) systems, design, propagation, and receiver performance
Understanding of the INCOSE Life Cycle Model Management of the Project and Technical Processes
Experience conducting and documenting analysis of alternatives and trade studies to support evaluation of technical trade-offs and decision making
Knowledge of system engineering fundamentals, and satellite communications fundamentals
Experience in supporting the production of technical volumes, white papers, version description documents
Ability to lift 50+ lbs to aid in the installation, testing & pack out of systems
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Exposure to the System Engineering Body of Knowledge and a desire to grow the corporate SE BOK within the USAF customer
Experience of subsystem integration into a large system (aircraft, ground vehicle, ship, etc.)
Experience with antenna system, sub-system, and depot-level maintenance, and repair
Experience with Radio Frequency measurement
Exposure to SIGINT Production Systems
Exposure to networking principles and or experience working with classified networks
Understanding of DOD acquisition practices
DOD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification (SEC+ or eqv.)
Systems Engineering or Project Management certification (ASEP, Project+)
