CACI International Accounting Clerk III (SCA) in Keyport, Washington
CACI is seeking an experienced Accounting Clerk III to join our team at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) located at Keyport, WA. Primary support will be provided to the NUWC Keyport Comptroller Department for Accounting duties.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Directly supporting the Office of the Comptroller working on-site at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Keyport WA
Auditing all payroll and travel authorizations/records for government and active duty military personnel on Temporary Duty assignment (TDY)
Working with a team of government employees and contractors, monitor compliance to Federal Travel Regulations (FTR) guidelines and Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) to ensure that individuals on TDY are accurately recording costs and labor
Directly supporting government auditors to compile monthly metrics and to work as a team to reduce errors
Advanced Experience using Microsoft Excel for Accounting practices.
Must have experience using Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook for Email.
Must possess knowledge of double entry bookkeeping in performing one or more of the following: Posts actions to journals, identifying subsidiary accounts affected and debit and credit entries to be made, assigning, proper postings to balance and reconcile accounts; reviews computer printouts against spreadsheets, detecting and correcting erroneous postings, and preparing documents to adjust accounting classifications and other data, or reviews lists of transactions rejected by an automated system, determining reasons for rejections, and preparing necessary correcting transactions.
On routine assignments, employee selects and applies established procedures and techniques.
