CACI International Systems Engineer in King George, Virginia
What You’ll Get to Do:
Perform complex systems development and design work that may include computer architecture analysis and design. Assist in defining the software stack that will provide Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IAAS), and Platform-as-a-Service (PAAS) features for virtualized components that comprise a computing infrastructure for Surface Navy Combatants (SNC). Assess the software stack to determine its usefulness to a Navy weapons system and recommend additions or modifications to the software stack.
Provide recommendations to select a coherent Infrastructure as a Service stack to include a hypervisor layer, containers, as well as orchestration and provisioning for the layer. The PAAS will include the operating system plus various middleware computing infrastructure services.
Evaluate cybersecurity tools and products to provide a defense-in-depth for various service levels which meet the Navy’s cybersecurity requirements criteria.
Develop and deliver documentation on the system.
Develop and conduct tests to ensure that the system meets documented user requirements.
Identifying, analyzing, and resolving systems problems.
Provide and maintain server builds and hardware and software metrics.
Participating in meetings to ensure client needs are met.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Must be U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Network Engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited University.
3+ years of systems/network engineering experience with Linux or Unix platforms.
Experience conducting trade studies and analysis of software/network solutions.
Demonstrated ability to develop and present effective technical presentations to management.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal, problem solving, organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and/or RedHawk Operating Systems.
Experience with Cybersecurity tools, network management tools, and software repositories.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
