Job Description

CACI has a potential opening for a Technical Support professional to provide round-the-clock operational support to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (PNS) in Kittery, ME.

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Initiate & monitor batch processes using Unix menus and procedural documentation.

  • Execute file transfers and complete follow-up procedures for successful data transfer.

  • Operate & monitor batch processes using scheduling applications, i.e. APPWORX, etc.

  • Operate Macros using MS Word & Excel.

  • Operate processes using Windows and UNIX.

  • Test critical applications utilizing a web tool

  • Contact government POCs when errors, aborts or failures occur.

  • Assist programmers and systems analysts by testing and debugging new programs.

  • Monitor and control environmental conditions/temperatures of designated spaces.

  • Initiate emergency protocols in the event of power outages or adverse environmental conditions.

  • Perform routine system inspections and annotate system logs.

  • Provide telephone and e-mail customer support to the user community.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent (technical school training), and one to two years of related data center operations experience.

  • Muss possess a Secret Clearance.

  • Must possess either a Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) or an MCSA (2003) certification. Must also possess one of the following IA certifications (DOD 8570-m) : A+, Network+, SSCP, GSEC, Security+, SCNP, or SSCP.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • A technical professional that works well in a team environment

  • 2-4 Years data center experience

  • Former military experience or work experience as contractor or civil servant with US Navy, Naval Shipyards, or other military installation.

  • Systems Administration experience within the Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) environment.
