CACI International Document Management Analyst in Las Vegas, Nevada
Duties and Responsibilities:
Reviews, scans, summarizes, files and organizes investigative reports, testimonies, interviews, files, and documents for a variety of civil cases. Reads and analyzes reports of investigating agencies. Sorts, reads and organizes subpoenaed documents. Identifies and summarizes important documents. Establishes and maintains an effective system of compiling, indexing, organizing, and retrieving information and its sources. Assists AUSAs, agents, paralegals, and legal assistants with discovery and in preparation for trial by compiling, organizing, and indexing various types and forms of evidence. Marks and identifies trial exhibits and drafts a list of exhibits to be offered at trial. Prepares narrative summaries, charts, tables, graphs, or other visual aids to be used in hearings, depositions, meetings and at trial. Assists with copying, mailing, closing files, and maintaining pleadings. Assist with administrative tasks, including providing technical advice to attorneys and staff on legal automation requirements, system capabilities, and on information system analysis, development, and installation. The contractor works in an office setting; some walking, standing, bending, and lifting and carrying office items up to 25 pounds is required. There may be a need for the candidate to work overtime and travel depending on work and case load.
Applicant must have the ability to use MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Access or other databases, MS Word, and Adobe Acrobat Professional. Applicant must have hands-on familiarity with data-processing environments, including office automation networks, PC-based database and other applications, internet and server-based database and other applications, such as Concordance, CaseMap, TimeMap, IPRO, PowerPoint, Sanctions, Summation, Trial Director, or similar software. Applicant must be able to scan documents and import them into databases for use in litigation support, and to manipulate, edit, redact, and copy data onto CDs, DVDs, and other media. Applicant must have the ability to operate courtroom presentation equipment. Applicant must be able to perform legal research in Lexis/Nexis and /or Westlaw.
Communication skills are extremely important. Works and interacts professionally and effectively with all levels of staff. Ability to meet established deadlines in a professional office setting. Skill in meeting and dealing with people in a courteous and tactful manner.
One year of experience on major litigation support projects.
Demonstrated ability to work independently in a team environment.
Must be able to write; excellent writing skills and oral communication skills extremely important.
Requires hands-on familiarity with the Government's data processing environments, including office automation networks, PC-based database and other applications, internet and server-based database and other applications, such as Oracle, Concordance, Summation, Trial Director, etc.
Should be a knowledgeable user of the Government's word processing, spreadsheet, imaging, and telecommunications systems.
Undergraduate degree strongly preferred; substantial significant experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOJ NACI clearance.
