CACI International Legal Assistant/Document Management Technician - Las Vegas, NV in Las Vegas, Nevada
What You’ll Get to Do:
Support the Assistant United States Attorneys (AUSA) by performing a variety of legal assistant tasks. This position is located in Las Vegas, N.V.
Legal Assistant duties will include preparing, proofreading, and filing a wide range of technical legal documents: criminal indictments and complaints, search warrants, motions, orders, pleadings, subpoenas, liens, and claim forms.
The Legal Assistant will also assist in trial preparation to include assembling exhibits, affidavits, and other legal documents, assembling and organizing files and records, and maintaining calendar of assigned active cases.
The Legal Assistant will perform data entry to track filing, hearing, and trial dates, scheduling conferences, interviews, and other appointments, prepare travel itineraries, and assist with other administrative tasks as the need arises.
Minimum of one year of legal experience is required.
Ability to work in an office setting; some walking, standing, bending and carrying of small office items and case files is required.
Computer skills: Proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to work overtime depending on work and case load.
Ability to proofread documents and format them to accepted legal standards, possessing experience and familiarity with the drafting, organization and filing of legal pleadings and correspondence.
Communication skills: Works and interacts professionally and effectively with all levels of staff. Ability to meet established deadlines and work as a team player in a professional office. Skilled in meeting and dealing with people in a courteous and tactful manner.
Must be able to work in a deadline driven, fast-paced environment and work overtime on short notice.
A DOJ MBI is required to begin employment. For this position, CACI has the ability to provide clearance sponsorship for qualified individuals. (U.S. Citizenship required.)
