CACI is seeking a cleared Deputy Program Manager who will support the Director of a large program for the Integrated Engineering & Warfighter Readiness division within the Engineering Support & Solutions (ESS) operating group of the National Security and Innovative Solutions sector. What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Apply advanced business knowledge, general management, and leadership capability to lead business and functional teams in performance of contract requirements and support continuous growth of the business.

  • Provides leadership, education and mentoring to subordinate Project Managers in project planning, scheduling, and execution, including management of project finance and utilization of program sand personnel resources.

  • Continuously improve the CACI facility operation to ensure operational excellence, while ensuring the Customer’s needs are addressed promptly and effectively.

  • Responsible for improving upon entire processes or systems, leveraging on personal past experiences and in-depth understanding of best practices in the marketplace that may improve the competitive position of the organization.

  • Communicate with senior executive leadership regarding matters of strategic importance, including briefings and reports regarding plans, achievements, and opportunities within and outside of the program. Briefs developed and communicated will include program plans and forecasts, Program Management Reviews and business cases.

  • Negotiate and compromise to influence internal and external parties to accept concepts, practices and approaches of the job area.

  • Responsible for communicating with parties external to the organization, which will include customers, teammates and or vendors.

  • Drives the estimating and proposal process for programs and projects, which requires significant cooperation with the Director, Project Managers, business development managers, CACI functional organizations and key customers.

  • Problems faced are frequently complex and require broad-based solutions that impact multiple areas of the organization.

More About the Role:

As a Deputy Program Manager you will support and be responsible to the Programs Director as the lead, manager, and administrator for Program execution and facility operation within your area of control and as assigned. You will oversee project operations by developing procedures, planning and directing execution of the contractual, technical, programming, maintenance, and administrative support effort, and monitoring and reporting cost, schedule and performance progress and requirements. You will manage acquisition and employment of project resources and ensure the subordinate Project Managers properly control financial and administrative aspects of their respective projects. You will direct efforts of cross-functional teams, to include contractor personnel at multiple locations, and will serve as an interface and POC with Government program authorities and representatives on technical and project issues. You will be responsible for, and will assist the Director, regularly briefing senior leadership on program status and milestones, and assist the Director in managing and reporting the finances of the CACI facility.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • An active DoD Secret and obtain a Top Secret.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or other related technical field or bachelor’s degree in a business or management-related field.

  • Seven years of experience managing complex engineering projects associated with the design, development, integration, and test, preferably related to C4ISR or other complex systems.

  • Significant background in military program management, especially Customer relationship management, and the integration, installation, and fielding of complex Systems.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP®) through the Project Management Institute®, or Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level III Program Management certification – current or completed within 90 days of start.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • An active DoD Top Secret.

  • Master’s degree in engineering, computer science, or other related technical field, or active study towards this qualification.

  • Ten years of experience in a military environment involving engineering, integration, and test of C4ISR complex systems.

  • A knowledge government standards and processes, including acquisition, contracting and operations.

  • Familiarity with Naval air Warfare Center – Aircraft Directorate (NAWCAD) Webster Outlying Field (WOLF) mission and customers.

  • A current Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI).
