CACI is seeking an Engineering Technician III to provide support to include facility set-up for space / equipment, establishing and / or expanding safety and environmental compliance programs and development of procedures / standards and first Article Recurring support and refurbish external KC-130 Fuselage tanks at Lexington Park, MD.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Ability to access and work in tight and confined spaces with respiratory equipment.
Perform inspections on Welding using Eddy Current Scanning techniques.
Perform repairs on external C-130 Fuselage fuel Tanks in accordance with acceptable/approved technical data.
Inspection and repair of Cradle Assembly and fuselage fuel tank to include external and internal surfaces, fuel lines, wiring conduits, and bonding straps.
Supporting of other tasks and projects as needed.
More About the Role:
Travel up to 25%.
Work Overtime as required.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
AS degree in electronic or engineering technology and 2 years of experience (OR) High School diploma plus U.S. Military Electronics school/Electronic Technology Certificate from an accredited Institution and 4 years of experience in assembly, construction, testing, repair and modification of electrical, electronic machine or mechanical parts using drawings, specific instructions, or standard procedures.
Must be able to pass Respirator Fit Check and be able to enter fuel tanks and Confined Spaces.
Familiar with CNAF 4790 (NAMP) programs.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Confined space program experienced/qualified.
Respirator program experienced/qualified.
Fall protection program experienced/qualified.
Confined space rescue program experienced/qualified.
1+ years of aviation maintenance or fuel tank experience.
