CACI is currently looking for an Instructional Designer to join our team developing next generation signals intelligence (SIGINT) and electronic warfare systems for the Department of Defense. What You’ll Get to Do
As an Instructional Designer , you will be responsible for conducting analyses and designing training materials for a variety of delivery methods, including instructor-led, computer-based, web-based, and embedded training. The Instructional Designer is instrumental in developing training products using a systematic approach, adult learning theories, learning technologies, and industry best practices for instructional design while supporting customer and project objectives.
More About the Role
CACI seeks a talented Instructional Designer to join our Advanced Solutions Group (ASG), within the National Security and Innovative Solutions. The right candidate will have adequate skills to develop embedded dynamic training aids for key areas of system operations to train operators on proper actions, options/alternatives, with warnings as appropriate, focusing on Force Support; Battlespace Awareness, Force Application, and C2. Force Support includes Force Protection training. Battlespace Awareness includes collection; Processing; Processing/Exploitation; Analysis, Prediction and Production; The selected individuals must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Design and develop instructional approaches and/or strategies to meet training requirements.
Conduct analysis of training and media requirements.
Develop appropriate learning objectives and test methods and designs instructionally valid training materials.
Ensures integrity of task analysis, training requirements, training hierarchies, instructional materials, and evaluation plans.
Develops flow diagrams and storyboards.
Designs instructionally sound lessons in a variety of delivery media.
Designs and develops multimedia courseware on a variety of computer platforms as well as tablets and other approved mobile devices.
Work closely with Project Manager, Graphic Artists, Software and Application Developers, and Subject Matter Experts in the development of interactive multimedia courseware.
Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced team members.
Keep abreast of training and development research: learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques
You’ll Bring These Qualifications
US Citizenship is required along with active TS/SCI security clearance
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Technology, Education, Psychology, or Instructional Systems Design.
3 to 5 years’ experience in curriculum development and conversion of training materials for instructor-led training, interactive multimedia instruction, blended training materials, and courseware for delivery using current technologies.
Experience using Adobe authoring software Captivate and Articulate or similar software.
Experience with the Navy’s Training Development Process.
Experience designing and implementing electronic courseware.
Experience in all phases of the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation
These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have
Experience designing Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (ITEM) and Electronic Manuals.
Experience with the Navy Collaborative Training Environment/Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE)
Navy combat systems, and/or Navy combat training systems.
Experience with SIGINT systems.
