CACI is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Quality Assurance Inspector to join our quality team in the Lexington Park, MD. In this role, you’ll play a key role is ensuring that all product meets our established requirements for reliability and workmanship, as well as other quality control program standards.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Perform inspections on incoming material from suppliers.
Perform in-process inspection on electronic assemblies and mechanical hardware.
Approve or reject raw materials with respect to quality standards and record supplier performance.
Ensure that product is manufactured to the latest applicable configuration documentation and required specifications.
Maintain, control and process non-conforming material and prepare material discrepancy report (MDRs).
Assists in maintaining ESD stations and monitor employee ESD compliance.
Assist in defect tracking and the evaluation process including trend analysis.
Assist in the implementation of quality standard and procedure development.
Propose improvements to the production process and recommend changes to improve quality efficiency of the product and service.
Perform and record 1st article inspection results and properly maintained records.
Interprets engineering drawings and schematic diagram.
Remove and control products that does not meet production standards and recommending strategies to improve product quality.
Proactive communication with team members on product inspection results and process requirements.
Performing inspections at random to assess product quality.
Record inspection results and input data into quality database for statistical analysis.
More About the Role:
Responsible for inspecting electrical and mechanical parts, subassemblies, and final product for both commercial and military contracts to ensure they meet the required specifications, while also adhering to defined timelines.
Interpret, build upon, and comply with company quality assurance standards.
Suggest and implement improvements to processes and services. Plan, execute, and oversee inspection and testing of incoming and outgoing product to confirm quality conformance to specifications and quality deliverables. Carefully maintain compliant and nonconformance processing through records and tracking systems, including root cause and corrective actions.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
US Citizenship is required to obtain a Top Secret clearance
Must be able to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination within 30 days of start
Associate degree in electronic or engineering technology
Two years of experience in mechanical fabrication inspection and in-process and final electronic assembly inspection IAW engineering drawings and quality specifications.
Experience with testing using voltage continuity multimeters for cables and electronic equipment.
Experience in documenting inspection results, identifying nonconforming material, initiating corrective actions and establishing root cause analysis.
Ability to use electrical and mechanical inspection equipment (caliper, multimeter, angle gauge, height gauge, micrometer)
J-STD-001, IPC-610, IPC 620 knowledge or certification
Knowledge of manufacturing quality assurance processes and procedures.
Familiarity with quality standard AS9100D/9001:2015
Keen attention to detail
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
J-STD-001 or IPC-610-A certifications.
Knowledge of manufacturing and quality assurance processes and/or procedures.
Ability to use electrical and mechanical inspection equipment.
Familiarity with quality standards (ex. ISO 9001, or AS9100)
