CACI International Hardware Engineering Internship – Summer 2021 in Lisle, Illinois
The WINS team of LGS Labs (a division of CACI International) is seeking a Hardware Engineer Intern for the summer of 2021 in Lisle, IL. The WINS team designs and develops embedded and application software for custom sensor and wireless communication systems.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Work includes wireless communications signal and protocol processing, channel modeling & waveform design and implementation from HF to W band and beyond. The successful candidate will work on advanced communications and sensing systems - theory, system design, algorithm design and simulation and implementation in ASICs, FPGAs, chip level digital and RF circuit design and object-oriented SW.
Working Conditions:Work is typically performed in an office and lab environment which requires proper safety precautions. Work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes, or equipment.More About the Role:
Travel to other LGS locations or customer sites as necessary
Consistent and reliable attendance required
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Preferred Skills and Knowledge:
Math / Signal Processing / Linear Algebra / Digital Signal Processing
Mathematics analysis tools such as MATLAB
Protocols Synthesis and Analysis
Digital IC or RFIC Circuit Designs & CAD Tools
Hardware Design – boards, multichip packages, VHDL, RTL, devices
HOL Frameworks & Programming in HOL such as C / C++
Source Code Control
Knowledge of Microsoft software applications and other software applications as required
Minimum Education and Experience:Upper Class leading to BS, or graduate studies leading to MS or PhD, in Electrical, mechanical, software Engineering or Physics, mathematics
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred, not required
Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership and teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)
