What You’ll Get to Do:
SA Photonics has a cross functional team of highly experienced system architects, optical, electrical and mechanical engineers and scientists. We are currently looking for a Senior Program Manager to help drive our responses to complex RFPs from customers as well as plan, monitor, track and report program status on mission critical company programs. This position requires a person with experience managing a small team of engineers in a product development environment.
Organize and lead proposal and ROM development efforts for future business. This includes development of cost models and proposal artifacts for both FFP and CPFF contract types. These artifacts include excel based cost proposals, basis of estimates, a Microsoft Project based IMS, and detailed management plans based on the customer RFP.
Organize, implement and maintain scheduling management system supporting identified projects and their plans.
Design and develop detailed project schedules/plans.
Interact with project team and other program managers to update detailed schedules, cost information and identification of variances from original plan.
Interact with project team and other program managers to status performance using project schedules and identify developing problem areas.
Represent and be the face of SA Photonics in key customer engagements
Assist project team to develop and maintain periodic status reports to keep team members and management informed on project progress.
Log all new information into data set and provide reports for project coordination and reporting purposes.
Log project timelines and maintain data set of tasks and status.
Analyze critical path and constraints to determine the effect of changes to schedule and recommend workarounds.
Conduct analysis to determine alternative courses of action or recovery on slipped schedules.
Support development and maintenance of financial expenditure planning associated with program schedules.
Provide key linkage and correlation between technical product development and overall corporate business objectives
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
BS in a technical field (preferably Engineering or Physics)
Expert knowledge of and experience with program management tools (MS Project) and procedures
Experience in cost proposal development and submission
Experience doing electronic system development, integration and test
At least 10 years of successful program management experience
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Formal Program Management training and/or Program Management certification (i.e. PMP or DAU level 3)
Proactive, organized, self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience with hardware and software development
Familiarity with electrical, optical and RF communications systems
Experience working on DoD or other government programs
