What You’ll Get to Do

CACI needs a Zero Trust Engineer Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support our client at US CENTCOM at MacDill AFB in Tampa, FL. As a Zero Trust Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, testing, and integrating solutions that align with the USCENTCOM Information Technology Services (CITS) Program's projects and initiatives.

More About the Role

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and test Zero Trust solutions that align with the USCENTCOM CITS Program's projects and initiatives.

  • Leverage your expertise in Zero Trust methodologies and architectures to ensure the successful deployment of solutions that meet functional and performance objectives while maintaining the highest level of security.

  • Participate in baseline image creation, IAVA testing, software/hardware testing, cybersecurity engineering, system engineering, test and integration, and new technology assessments.

  • Design and deliver IT engineering projects, initiatives, and processes in conformance with the organization's established policies, procedures, and objectives.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand system requirements and design integrated solutions that meet functional and performance objectives while maintaining the highest level of security.

  • Develop integration plans and strategies outlining the sequence of tasks and dependencies required to integrate various components effectively.

  • Configure and customize software applications and middleware to facilitate seamless communication and data exchange between disparate systems.

  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of integrated systems, identifying and resolving any issues or discrepancies in functionality or performance.

  • Document integration processes, including configuration settings, data mappings, and troubleshooting procedures.

  • Provide technical support and assistance during the deployment and post-deployment phases, addressing any integration-related issues or concerns.

  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in Zero Trust security, evaluating their potential impact on our integration strategies and recommending adoption where appropriate.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, or work experience.

  • 10+ years of experience as a Cyber Engineer, focusing on Zero Trust architecture , principles, and implementation.

  • Applicable DoD 8140 or DoD 8570 Certification.

  • Active TS/SCI clearance is required .

  • Performing systems planning and coordinating/connecting IT systems.

  • Expanding and/or modifying established systems to serve new purposes or improve workflow.

  • Working within Windows, Linux, and/or virtual environments.

  • Preparing cost estimations, function/timeline analysis, data flow diagrams, and program/user documentation.

  • Establishing standards for information systems procedures.

  • Gathering, analyzing, and translating complex system requirements into specifications.

  • Knowledge of U.S. Department of Defense security requirements, regulations, policies, and procedures

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have

  • ITIL 4 Foundation Certification desired.

  • Experience with USCENTCOM and familiarity with its mission.

  • Knowledge and familiarity with USCENTCOM's IT environment.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$90,700 - $199,600
