CACI is seeking a Unix Engineer to join our Luke Team! You will provide support on a team that provides a full spectrum of important IT-focused, enterprise-wide lifecycle support, including DevOps, applied technology investigations, operations and maintenance, and infrastructure lifecycle support services across the customer’s enterprise. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provide general UNIX systems administrative/engineering support for a large, complex interconnected system w/both physical and virtual environments hosting multiple operating systems including Windows, Solaris and Linux

  • Function as a hands-on technical UNIX generalist with shared responsibility for the overall health and performance of one or more applications

  • Support various environment integration/middleware technologies and overall health of the integrations and interfaces

  • Build, configure, upgrade, and maintain application environments as well as deploy and configure applications and/or application changes in compliance with cybersecurity and software development life cycle (SDLC) procedures

  • Participate in planning and implementation of system security patches and upgrades to the system, software, and firmware

  • Maintain the reliability, i.e. high-availability, capacity, and performance) of multiple environments (Dev, Test, Prod) and solutions

  • Approach troubleshooting systematically with a deep sense of ownership to resolve issues as well as apply learnings in a continuous improvement capacity

  • Maintain personal responsibility and commitment to respond to and work to solve incidents quickly as well as lead on-call activities to efficiently mitigate incidents

  • Plan and coordinate with team members and development/operational staff re: upcoming changes in software versions and updates, security certificates, processing queues, etc.

  • Optimize operational efficiency and contribute to developing and enhancing the solution

  • Determine "root cause" sources of instability in application availability and performance

  • Actively engage with vendor support on issues, bug-fixing, and functionality enhancement

  • Manage and maintain technical documentation including contractual and SOP deliverables

Required Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with poly

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, from an accredited institution

  • 8+ years of relevant experience

  • 5-10+ years IC Enterprise support and hands on technical / strategic experience) in at least three or more of the following technical areas;

  • Software Engineering (Java), to include DevOps or DevSecOps

  • Infrastructure (Cloud and On-Prem)

  • Business Intelligence / Big Data / Data Science

  • ITSM

  • Track record establishing multiple implementations of highly available software hosted on UNIX server architecture, is able to demonstrate a strong aptitude for learning new applications, and actively enjoys working to solve complex technical issues

  • Highly customer-focused, are natural self-starters that enjoy technical challenges, are methodical yet creative problem solvers, and are comfortable working up and down the stack

  • 5+ years of proven experience with the analysis, planning, design, implementation, upgrade and migration of applications hosted on Solaris and/or Red Hat Linux

  • 5+ years of proven experience with WebLogic Administration/Configuration in a Solaris/Linux environment

  • Knowledge of Web Server technology

  • Understanding of file storage, DB connections, log analysis and other supplemental exposures

  • Working knowledge of SQL

  • Hands-on implementation experience with high-availability architectures

  • Demonstrated aptitude for learning and rapidly mastering new applications and technology

  • Proven mastery of troubleshooting techniques and the ability to solve problems quickly;

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with a strong focus on customer service and solution ownership

  • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner, demonstrate strong problem solving skills and is successful when working in Integrated Product Teams

  • Experience with High-Availability and Disaster Recovery architecture and configuration;

  • Experience with SSO and multiple authentication providers

  • Experience developing solutions and designs to support reporting and business processes using high-volume data sources across SDLC environments (Dev, Test, UAT, Prod);

  • Familiarity with the TCP/IP stack, network routing, load balancing, F5 and firewall;

  • Experience providing production support with a working knowledge of multiple Oracle application components

  • Solid understanding of SSL (and non-SSL), proxy (and reverse-proxy) servers, single sign-on technologies
