CACI is currently looking for a Senior Developer to join our ECWM (Enterprise Contract Writing Module) Team supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition community!

Join this passionate team of industry-leading individuals supporting the best practices in Agile SAFe Software Development for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). As a member of the ECWM Team, you will be supporting the DoD warfighter by enabling the contracting community to perform their contracting actions more efficiently and accurately, including operational, logistics, contingency, weapons system, and research and development contracting world-wide. The DoD warfighter relies heavily on contracts to receive the supplies and equipment they need to do their jobs and keep America safe, making it imperative to provide the DoD with a contract writing and management system that ensures those contracts are awarded and executed properly.

The ECWM program thrives in a culture of innovation and is seeking individuals who can bring creative ideas to solve complex problems, both technical and procedural at the team and leadership levels. The ability to be adaptable and to work constructively with a technically diverse and geographically separated team is crucial.

You should have worked with or have a strong interest in Agile scrum or SAFe software development practices and delivering deployable software in short sprints.

More About the Role

  • An Appian BPM developer is a specialist in Appian’s application proprietary business process management software.

  • As a senior developer, you will work closely with the System Architect and Product Architects to design and develop technical solutions on the Appian codebase based on customer requirements.

  • Address problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.

  • Design and develop new software products or major enhancements to existing software.

  • Perform feasibility analysis on potential future projects for management.

  • Review existing solutions with development team to identify proper restructure into micro-services model utilizing best industry best practices.

  • Facilitate the development of new software solutions into micro-services model utilizing best industry best practices.

  • Develop and sustain microservices factory utilizing COTS and open-source solutions to automate the creation, deployment, and management of the CI/CD pipeline.

  • Install, design, create, and maintain Middleware solutions in a client/server environment.

  • Conduct quality control and auditing of Middleware installations in a client/server environment to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data.

  • Deploy user applications in the Middleware installation.

  • Prepare high level technical specifications for the solutions.

  • Perform frequent code reviews & ensure quality of the overall delivery.

  • Leverage CACI capabilities and emerging technologies to create differentiating solutions to meet client requirements and challenges.

  • Participate in Agile events, including PI Planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups to ensure Sprint and Iteration goals are met.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications

  • Must possess IT-II security clearance or have a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC)

  • Eight (8) years total relevant experience across the following areas:

  • Experience developing application/process automation software using low-code/no-code business process modeling notation (BPMN) tools, such as Appian

  • Experience with application programming interfaces (APIs)

  • Experience integrating Appian low code solutions with external REST and microservice end points. Experience configuring Appian, debugging, unit, systems, integration testing and documenting new applications and enhancements including, but not limited to forms, reports, underlying logic and interface components on development projects as assigned

  • Experience with Java and AWS Services is plus

  • Experience with relational databases such Oracle or PostgreSQL

  • Experience in systems analysis, design and a solid understanding of development, quality assurance and integration methodologies.

  • Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority (e.g. Appian or other low-code certification, AWS certification, Agile certification)

  • DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II (e.g. Security+)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related major.

  • Awareness and experience in various Software Development methodologies spanning Agile, SecDevOps, etc.

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have

  • Experience with US Federal Business Systems (preferably with the DoD Procure-to-Pay process)

  • Active Appian certification

  • Active AWS Certification
