CACI International Enterprise Systems Architect in National Harbor, Maryland
What You’ll Get to Do:
CACI is currently looking for outstanding IT candidates to join our DHS team in the National Capital Region (NCR). CACI is providing a variety of IT services to this customer including cyber security, identity and access management, risk management, cloud integration and engineering, field support services, service desk, application deployment and optimization, and operations center support services.
This position supports enterprise IT engineering and operations activities for a large unclassified environment. The Enterprise Systems Architect will interpret, use, and apply technical subject matter expertise to the customer environment to inform a range of activities, particularly those involved in the design, development, enhancement and maintenance of enterprise IT systems.
More About the Role:
Responsibilities include designing the computing infrastructure, providing technical assistance and consulting to customer organizations and users, developing tools for managing the system and leading a team of Active Directory and enterprise IT infrastructure engineers in monitoring and managing the AD architecture.
Serve as the System Architect for all Active Directory requirements on the engineering Team.
Provide Tier 3 engineering support of the current OS platforms as items are escalated from Tier 2 for subject matter expert consultation.
Provide recommendations on potential security, speed, or system enhancements for the environment along with finalize all decisions that are proposed to the customer.
Assist in troubleshoot high-profile enterprise infrastructure performance issues using root-cause analysis and recommends appropriate action.
Develop policies and standards for allocation and use of computer equipment and resources.
Provide technical engineering functions associated with AD systems, applications, platforms, and various databases technical integration.
Develop and deliver documentation on new or existing systems, to include SOPs and ConOps for operations staff.
Develop and baseline new hardware and software builds
Provide full integration support for the total system life cycle across multiple systems, applications, and platforms
Analyze system requirements and dependencies for hardware and software
Develop architectural overviews of the systems as a whole
Interfaces with all aspects of the team to resolve engineering issues and actions
Leads or participates in the coordination, support, and evaluation of program-level meetings and tracking actions and outcomes
Converts mission and customer needs into system requirements and definition, and works directly with the functional and technical stakeholders to define and prioritize mission needs
Provides team leadership and technical guidance to less experienced systems engineers and supporting personnel
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance and DHS Entry on Duty (EOD)
Typically requires bachelor's degree (in Computer Science or related field) or equivalent, and 10 to 12 years of related experience, to include a minimum of 5 years of demonstrated server engineering and on-the-job experience performing advanced analysis/design on complex enterprise IT systems.
Experience managing an Active Directory structure with a large volume of objects.
Experience maintaining and updating: Domain plans and design documentation; Organization Unit (OU) plans; Enterprise Group Policies, and Trust relations with external AD structures.
Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Excellent communicator with strong customer focus who can work with business sponsors and technologists to articulate business requirements and technology options
Demonstrated on-the-job experience translating technical information into clear, readable documents and presentations to be used by technical and non-technical personnel.
Ability to prioritize and perform a variety of concurrent tasks with minimal direction
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
Strong knowledge of System Center Suite, Active Directory, virtual environments
Strong experience working with solution and enterprise architecture, schema, service oriented architecture, enterprise architecture, and service oriented modeling
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
ITIL v3 Foundation certification
Experience with VMWare Virtual systems
Experience setting up and maintaining cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS)
Knowledge of Agile development processes
