CACI is seeking a Network Architect to join our project engineering operations team on a contract supporting Department of Homeland Security. The Network Architect will play a key role in implementing and upgrading network solutions for a 24/7/365 environment. This position will work closely with the Project Engineering Manager and the Chief Architect in support of IT operation and engineering enhancements and implementing concept of operations.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Your focus will be on Network Architecture, new project requirements, and operation and sustainment of existing infrastructure. Responsibilities include:
Designs, installs, and maintains the enterprise network of Cisco LAN and WAN infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless access points.
Research, engineer, and implement new technology and tools to increase productivity, performance, and efficiency.
Researches and analyzes network infrastructure needs, development, process analysis, design, and re-engineering.
Works with the enterprise to solve mission challenges with technology including hardware, software, databases, operating systems, and networks.
Develops and documents the framework for integration and implementation for changes to technical standards.
Assists in the development and management of an architecture governance process
Follows all Customer network security processes and procedures, ensures compliance with all Government policies.
Represent customer requirements in technical exchanges with other government agencies.
Maintains knowledge of changes in technologies.
Develop and maintain network architecture diagrams, policies, and configuration information
Contribute to documentation in the Knowledge Base, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), work instructions, and job aids.
Conduct knowledge transfer sessions with operations and engineering teams on new solutions, systems, applications, and tools.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Ability to obtain DoD Top Secret/SCI Clearance
Ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Entry On Duty (EOD) - Active EOD preferred
M.S. + 12 years of applicable experience or B.S. + 18 years of applicable experience
Expert experience with architecting and automating infrastructure with a minimum of 3 years of recent experience in designing, planning, building, upgrading and oversight of complex DoD/FED IT networks
Expert experience with Cisco switches, routers, firewalls, VPNS, and wireless access points
Strong experience with Network analysis tools
Expert experience with supporting IP services (IPv4, VPN, IPv6, Multicast, QOS, SDN, SNMP, VOIP, VTC, etc.)
Expert experience with OSPF, BGP, MPLS, RSVP/LDP L2/3VPNs, VRFs, IKE/IPSec, GRE tunnels, MTU, FTP, Import/Export policies.
Effective organizational skills with strong attention to detail
Desire to work in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
Be a team player and work in a collaborative team environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
TOGAF and/or DODAF experience
Previous DHS or DoD experience
Cisco CCNP, CCVP, CCNA, CCDP, or CCIE
