The Project Manager (Image Management) will oversee and manage technical IT projects and direct reports involved in planning, development, and management of Windows OS PC images on a task order supporting a large federal government agency. Successful candidates will work with a matrixed technical team including subject matter experts (SMEs), technical personnel, and other appropriate expertise as needed to develop, design, document, implement and manage small and large-scale projects. The Project Manager will ensure compliance with the DHS SELC process through all phases of the life cycle (planning, requirements definition, design, development, integration, test, disposition, implementation, operations & maintenance) as well as deliver the appropriate SELC artifacts as defined by the level of the project.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Responsible for the management, scheduling, and coordination of projects activities and daily operations & maintenance activities
Provides supportto a cross-functional team, managing resource assignments, projected task completion dates, prioritizing activities based on customer requirements and SLAs
Works cooperatively with engineers and administrators to plan and direct tasks based on priority and manpower availability
Oversees individual IT projects from identification of requirements, analysis and design, development, end-user testing, deployment, and support
Communicates effectively with a wide variety of technical and non-technical audiences (both contractor and federal government employees)
Establishes and maintains strong relationship with government customer
Exercises broadly delegated authority for planning, directing, coordinating, administering, and executing many routine and complex projects
More About the Role:
Track and manage initiatives, deliverables, customer relations, and project management reviews.
Develop and produce documentation, SOPs, reports, and presentation slide decks.
Validate system requirements and provide recommendations to enable transition from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) network to an agency owned and managed network.
Prepare and present briefing materials to staff, executives, and federal customers. Interactions involve client meetings and interfacing with senior management.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Ability to obtain a DOD Security Clearance
Ability to obtain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD)
BA/BS or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years of related work experience
Previous experience overseeing the development and management of PC images for workstations and laptops
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Experience with Microsoft Project, JIRA, and Confluence,ServiceNow, or other PMIS
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Relevant DHS focused experience or agency knowledge
ServiceNow Service Management Tool or Project Portfolio Management
