The Project Manager (Image Management) will oversee and manage technical IT projects and direct reports involved in planning, development, and management of Windows OS PC images on a task order supporting a large federal government agency. Successful candidates will work with a matrixed technical team including subject matter experts (SMEs), technical personnel, and other appropriate expertise as needed to develop, design, document, implement and manage small and large-scale projects. The Project Manager will ensure compliance with the DHS SELC process through all phases of the life cycle (planning, requirements definition, design, development, integration, test, disposition, implementation, operations & maintenance) as well as deliver the appropriate SELC artifacts as defined by the level of the project.

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Responsible for the management, scheduling, and coordination of projects activities and daily operations & maintenance activities

  • Provides supportto a cross-functional team, managing resource assignments, projected task completion dates, prioritizing activities based on customer requirements and SLAs

  • Works cooperatively with engineers and administrators to plan and direct tasks based on priority and manpower availability

  • Oversees individual IT projects from identification of requirements, analysis and design, development, end-user testing, deployment, and support

  • Communicates effectively with a wide variety of technical and non-technical audiences (both contractor and federal government employees)

  • Establishes and maintains strong relationship with government customer

  • Exercises broadly delegated authority for planning, directing, coordinating, administering, and executing many routine and complex projects

More About the Role:

  • Track and manage initiatives, deliverables, customer relations, and project management reviews.

  • Develop and produce documentation, SOPs, reports, and presentation slide decks.

  • Validate system requirements and provide recommendations to enable transition from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) network to an agency owned and managed network.

  • Prepare and present briefing materials to staff, executives, and federal customers. Interactions involve client meetings and interfacing with senior management.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain a DOD Security Clearance

  • Ability to obtain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD)

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years of related work experience

  • Previous experience overseeing the development and management of PC images for workstations and laptops

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

  • Experience with Microsoft Project, JIRA, and Confluence,ServiceNow, or other PMIS

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Relevant DHS focused experience or agency knowledge

  • ServiceNow Service Management Tool or Project Portfolio Management
